Wander the grounds at Carnglaze Caverns (23 miles), a former slate mine that takes you on a self-guided tour underground; Fido is welcome in the outdoor areas. If you don’t want to go far, nearby Launceston has plenty of shops, pubs and cafes to visit – many of which welcome your four-legged friends, too.
