The lodge is in a beautiful setting, we saw lots of different birds including kingfishers. It was very peaceful, just the soothing sound of running water from the stream. Very relaxing.

Otter Lodge is the perfect place if you are looking for peace, relaxation and being surrounded by the natural world. A cosy little lodge with stunning views situated next to a stream. We saw all sorts of wildlife, including white throated dipper, kingfisher, a stoat and bats. Woken by a barn owl screeching in the tree next to the property. The smalRead morel holding had cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and a shire horse. The whole experience was an absolute delight and will definitely be returning Hide

Lovely location for a quiet & peaceful holiday. Late afternoon/evening drinks on the veranda, watching out for the kingfisher & listening to the sounds of the babbling brook. Perfect accommodation for 2 + 1 four legged friend. Gravel Path down to lodge could be a problem for those not too steady on their feet.

What a perfect country retreat, especially in these times. Where better than a comfortable cabin in a peaceful valley by a pretty stream, surrounded by birdsong and animals, yet close to town and seaside. We recommend you say hello to Richard and Tracey, the owners, lovely people, and they might show you round their farm. The perfect escape. Hide

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at the lodge. We found it very easy to find, however for folks not used to narrow countryside lanes disconcerting. The owner was very helpful, lots of interesting places nearby. You won't regret having a holiday hear. Every thing you need. We even spotted the local Kingfisher who visited the water way twice.

Beautifully relaxing location in idyllic surroundings. From watching the entertainment of the farm animals in the adjoining fields to the daily visit of the kingfisher to the brook via the covered patio we had an away from It all, revitalising break that we would reccommend to any nature lover. Even torrential rain could not spoil this holiday.

Otter Lodge is small but just what we were looking for; with an elderly dog that gets a bit disoriented in new places. It had everything we needed. Lovely view of the farm and Dawlish water running past the deck. We heard lots of Owl hoots and saw plenty of pheasants. The drive in isnt for the faint hearted - its a good 10-15 mins from a main road Read moreand mainly single track. Im normally quite happy with Country lanes but I wouldnt want to navigate this one in the dark. Hide

Nice cottage and ideally situated for Dawlish and Devon. The roads in and around the cottage are devilishly narrow, however the cottage is only 1.25miles from Dawlish. Everything is quiet around the cottage and the brook running alongside the cottage is nice.
