Perfect for stargazers and stick chasers, this charming bolthole sits in the marvellous Northumberland National Park. Designated as Europe’s largest Dark Skies Park, spend evenings under the magical clear sky and see which stars you can spot with a flask of something warm in hand. Welcoming your four-legged furry friend too, escape to this log cabin for a break with all the family and keep tails wagging.

Step inside where you are greeted by the light open-plan living space with a private balcony. Full of charm and character, unwind in traditional cabin style in this glorious abode. Put your feet up in the lounge and switch the TV on for a lazy afternoon with your favourite series. When tummies are hungry, head into the lovely kitchen area where you can rustle up tasty snacks and brew a warming cup of tea to quench your thirst. Plate up special meals at the dining table or serve up in the private walled garden where your canine companion can join you for a stretch of their legs and a chase of their tail. Wrap up in a blanket and spend evenings under the stars as dusk rolls into night. When you begin to feel the chill and your eyes get heavy, head to bed in one of two pleasant bedrooms. Rise and shine and enjoy a soak in the bath before you get ready to seize the day and head out for adventure. There is also one allocated off-road parking space.

For exciting days hunting down the best spots for a game of fetch, make your way into the heart of the national park and explore to your heart’s content. Access to the site is full of deep pot holes and needs attention. The cottage was comfortable and pleasantly warm, hot water system was excellant.

Cottage was perfect for a simple quiet getaway with both coastal attractions and the national park in easy driving distance. Would also recommend taking the short walk to the Drake Stone.

Our new cottage was spacious, very clean, well equipped, parking, lovely garden, very pretty. Games books and dvd available to use, leaflets for the area, wonderful kitchen very well stocked. Owner very helpful. The only downside for myself no low level accesible shower for anyone who is disabled. The national park and scenery magnificent.

We really enjoyed our stay, using the chalet as a base to explore the surrounding area and further afield. Lots of good walks, nice pubs for food and stunning scenery.

Me, my partner and dog stayed here over New Years. Definitely a must stay. Very cosy, and the fact it is made of wood is very different and great. We would definitely stay again.

Great location/charming cabin BUT the garden was not enclosed - a problem as I have a dog and had booked the property primarily for this feature. The window in the bathroom did not lock or shut properly so the property was not secure. I raised this with maintenance but did not get a reply. There was no access to a washing machine, both communal oneRead mores were broken. I think the property was mis-sold to me based on what I read at time of booking compared to what I experienced.
