Leading down to a stream and set in a couple of acres of orchard boasting a secluded cottage style garden shared only with neighbouring property. Just 2 miles from sought after village of Wedmore.

The young, old and four-legged will love this delightful property in the verdant and beautiful Somerset countryside. Surrounded by lush greenery, gather four friends plus one canine chum and discover rocky Jurassic coastline, exposed heathland summits, deep wooded combes and undulating farmland all waiting to be explored. After hours of tongue-lolling, lung busting fetch, return happily weary to relax in contemporary yet cosy style.

With traditional features such as exposed beams and stone walls, this converted stone barn is on a complex of properties yet retains its privacy. Wipe muddy paws and dry damp fur as you enter the kitchen and pop the kettle on before trotting through to the lounge, the ideal place to relax with a good book. Open the French doors and let your pup snooze on the private terrace whilst you get comfortable on the sofa, or perhaps take a glass of wine to catch some rays. As the sun goes down, retreat inside, light the wood burner and settle in for the night as your contented canine curls up in the warmth. Fido will wake refreshed with an early morning stroll in the shared orchard, watching the sun rise on another wonderful day.

With two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Mendip Hills (8 miles) and Quantock Hills (27.5) close by, there are plenty of woodland, coastal, heathland and grassland walks to keep even the most active doggy happy! Walk the spectacular Chedder Gorge (5.5 miles) and Ebbor Gorge (8.5 miles) or wander the Stockhill woods (10 miles). The cities of Bath (27 miles) and Bristol (23 miles) have numerous bars, restaurants and museums. Burnham-on-Sea (9 miles) has golden sandy beaches, where a water-loving dog could enjoy a paddle while you relax on the beach or climb the hill to Glastonbury Tor (11 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautifully converted cottage with very comfortable beds and cosy living room. Perfect location for dogs with the orchard just outside the door. Lovely patio front and back, one being in the sun all day. Peaceful location with a quiet road and series of tracks for strolls after supper.

We had a lovely family holiday, the cottage was the best we've stayed in... stunning! Had a slight issue with a TV cable but was sorted out straight away.

Everything that you need is provided. Nice bits and pieces around to make it homely. Lovely and clean when you can walk around barefoot. Peaceful place to return to after a busy day. Visited Wells, Brean Down and Glastonbury Tor so didnt have to travel more than 9 miles all week. Two TVs so no problem during Wimbledon.

Perfect in every way - loved the cottage inside and out. The orchard was perfect for our little dog to explore.

This was a lovely cottage, beautifully decorated and to a high standard. We found it very cosy with a the wood burner, and a stunning kitchen area. Very dog friendly and a good location.

This was a clean, contemporary cottage - it rated really well against other places we've stayed. Kitchen was spacious. Bed was comfortable - but only a standard double bed. Shower water pressure good. Owners were both friendly. Two small downsides. One was that the shower room was quite narrow and a little cold (in early March). Second is that the Read morecentral heating is slaved to the owners' house - so need to ask them to turn it on if you're cold. But overall, we would return. Hide
