Unwind and let the every day stresses disappear in the stunning Peak District cottage. So much thought has gone into styling every inch of this cottage providing a memorable country escape.

This charming stone-built cottage sits prettily within the picturesque village of Baslow, nestled in the greenery and stunning countryside of the Peak District. Sleeping four humans and welcoming two hounds, everyone is invited to explore and make memories together. After a day of exploring the hills and nearby trails, dust off muddy paws and boots and warm up in front of the open fire with a hot chocolate.

Relax on the comfy sofa in the lounge, with a sprawled out pup at your feet, dreaming of tomorrow’s walkies. Admire the original wooden beams present throughout the house, as well as the character features, bespoke furniture and handpicked fabrics. Enjoy a family meal around the ornate table in the beautifully decorated contemporary kitchen/diner. Make the most of the afternoon sun in the conservatory with a good book, as Fido strolls around the paved patio. At the end of a long day, weary legs are beckoned by one of the two stunning bedrooms. Wake feeling refreshed and enjoy a morning coffee in the sunshine as you plan the day’s adventures.

Spend the day exploring the beautiful dog-friendly gardens and park of Chatsworth House (2.5 miles) or head to the historic town of Bakewell (4.5 miles) for a well-deserved treat. Follow the former Midland railway line of the Monsal Trail (4.5 miles) for as far as your two or four legs will take you. This traffic-free footpath runs for 8.5 miles weaving through the national park, through tunnels and past the stunning rolling hills and countryside.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage when we entered was warm,welcoming, cosy, comfortable, clean and tidy, well appointed and equipped with two good sized bedrooms for 4 adults. With a shower room downstairs and a bathroom upstairs life was made easy in the mornings or evenings when rising or changing after a walk. Lots of thoughtful touches in the property. With a Spar aRead morend a Coop as well as The Prince of Wales in walking distance, eat in or out was never a problem. Highly recommended. We will return in Spring/Summer. Hide

Amazing cottage with everything you need. We stayed for a week over the Christmas period and it was fantastic! The cottage is perfect for 4 people. Our doggy (Oscar) loved the walks and the secure large garden. Pictures do not do this property justice. The whole cottage was just perfect and very very spacious. Beautiful cottage with everything you need to have a wonderful relaxing break. The Prince of Wales down the end of the road has excellent meals and service. The cottage itself supplied many luxuries to make it a place you want to revisit.

Pretty much perfect! Very clean, nicely decorated and lovely furnishings. Well kept secure garden and bonus off road parking spot. Really well equipped. This didn't feel like a holiday house - it's a holiday home -which we were quite reluctant to leave. Dog also made welcome with treats & dog blankets supplied for her to take her usual spot of snugRead moregling on the sofa with us in the evening! Where do we start. A fab homely and very clean cottage, very well equipped throughout especially the kitchen. Woofers well catered for with towels and throws etc. The cottage is really tastefully decorated and the rear garden landscaping and shrubs and trees are lovely. This really is a home from home. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Garden perfect for us and dogs, every room comfortable and clean. Well equipped kitchen, we cooked every night (erm my wife did). Very cosy lounge, and very comfortable beds. Location was perfect, we walked 35 miles in the week from the door. Pubs and shops very close. A lovey cottage in a beautiful part of the world. The village is well placed for visiting the Peaks and its attractions, particularly Chatsworth which is just across the main road.

A fantastic cottage, even better than the advertised photos. The garden has some excellent exotic plants and shrubs and is ideal for dogs, enclosed and private. The cottage is filled with facilities and high quality decor. The village of Baslow has plenty of shops pubs and restaurants and is close to major peak district attractions.

We absolutely loved our week at the old well cottage. Baslow as a base is perfect with facilities/services ( shops, pubs/restaurants/chatsworth house) in addition to the most wonderful walks all within a stones throw of the cottage. The cottage is well equipped, stylish and comfortable making you feel very much at home as soon as you arrive. The reRead morear garden is also worthy of praise, a private haven, perfect for alfresco meals and chilling. Hope to return. Hide

Beautiful cottage which is maintained to a very high standard, the garden and conservatory where a real bonus. Great location and definitely book at table at Il Lupo the little Italian restaurant very close by, what a treat!

A lovely cosy cottage with a secure garden for our extremely small dogs. The decor is finished to a high standard and the garden is beautifully laid out. Within walking distance of 3 good restaurants and Chatsworth park. We booked to return next year on our first day staying in the cottage.

Without a doubt, the best cottage we have ever stayed in. Comfortable, beautifully furnished, equipped like home, even down to tin foil! Great location and lovely garden and garden room. Spotless, warm and cosy. We loved it and will book again. Great for the dog.
