Perfect for exploring both the South Devon Coast and Dartmoor National Park, call this harbourside home yours for a while. Wake to ocean views before taking your pair of pups on a walkies to remember on the South West Coast Path or in the stick-chasing heaven of Dartmoor before returning home for al fresco drinks. With two bunk bedrooms, this bolthole is great for two families holidaying together with children.

Step inside and find yourself amid a tasteful coastal theme with blue hues and seaside-related decorations. The open-plan kitchen/diner is where tasty treats can be rustled up and dished out with ease; it’s a calm space to chef up a storm with an exposed beam and painted stonework adding character and charm. Follow your pup into the welcoming lounge where the coastal theme continues and there are a pair of sofas in front of the Smart TV. Say good night to your wag-tailed companion and head to bed in one of four bedrooms sitting over the first and second floors (accessed via steep stairs). Two snug rooms with bunk beds are perfect for younger guests and the master double boasts a decked terrace. There is a pay-and-display car park nearby.

Enjoy a morning stroll down to the harbour (0.5 miles) and suss out the pubs, cafes, and restaurants which you can visit later to reward the day’s efforts. Make a splash and embark on a boat trip which welcomes those with sea legs and four legs and spend time on the water journeying to the likes of Torquay. For a change of scenery, venture 16 miles inland and roam the fascinating paths which cover Dartmoor National Park.

Fantastic locations and great internal layout. Parking in the car park wasn't a problem and felt secure with the cameras. Great base for exploring Brixham and surrounding coves and countryside on foot. Crabbing in the harbour and a Sea Fishing trip were favourite with my boys and a walk to Berry Head for a breakfast in the Guardhouse was enjoyed asRead more well. Hide

Cottage was lovely. Very clean. Plenty of room. Ideal location, close to the town. Lovely view. Right next to a fishing harbour/market but it wasn't that noisy and it didn't affect our holiday. I would definitely stay here again.

If you are a light sleeper don't book this property as fish market works all night with forklifts beeping all the time. If you have mobility issues not a good place to hire. Great fish restaurants, Beamers and Crusoes very close. Good location if you don't mind the noise of the fish market. Tree by snug causes lots of flies in snug. Lovely house, brilliant location, everything we needed and more, I would book again, 1 minute walk and on the harbour, perfect for us. After reading some reviews I expected noise from the fishing market but I hardly noticed it, windows open all night as the weather was nice, none of us heard anything to wake us in the night. Keysafe made it easy foRead morer everyone's access and not having to carry keys about. Living room was bigger than expected, the sofa being quite large and comfortable. Hide

Stayed July 2022 at this great property and location. Clean and comfortable with everything a family could need for a week. You can enjoy breakfast on the balcony in the sun, whilst watching the catch of the day being loaded and sent out below. Lobster at Rockfish is a 1 min walk from the front door and you can park your car 5 mins away which (buy Read morea Torbay Council parking permit online). Hide

We were very happy staying here for the pirate festival. Situated right by the harbour with a lovely balcony to sit and relax and enjoy the views. The bedrooms were a good size and beds comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.
