This deceptively spacious cottage sleeps up to six guests and welcomes two furry companions. It’s the perfect coastal getaway for a fun-filled family break or a relaxing walking holiday with friends. Known for its long, sandy beaches, North Devon is a dog lover’s paradise, plus you’ll have easy access to the 630-mile dramatic South West Coast Path, where your hairy hounds will delight in exploring the varied terrain and abundance of smells! In addition, you’ll be perfectly located to visit a whole host of pretty towns and villages, as well as many great local attractions.
The quaint property, which has split levels throughout, boasts a cosy lounge with soft leather sofas to sink into, with your dogs curled at your feet, after a long day’s walking. You’ll also be thankful for the hard floors downstairs if sandy paws make their way into the living area! Doors open from the kitchen/diner onto the large walled garden, providing easy access to the lawn for the four-legged guests. Outside, you can sit back with a glass of wine in the evening, or perhaps you’ll fire up the on-site BBQ.
There are some stunning circular walks from Combe Martin, taking in parts of the South West Coast Path. Keen walkers can also set off on the wild and rugged section towards Woolacombe (14 miles), where your dogs can run on the beach and in the sand dunes (just watch out for restrictions on the first part of the beach). After all that walking, you and your hounds can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of The Red Barn, where great food is served all day and water bowls are provided. Another nearby dog-friendly beach is Hele Bay (4 miles away), where you can treat yourself to a traditional cream tea at the Hele Corn Mill Tearooms.
