This charming detached cottage nestles in the expansive grounds of the owners' home, has been lovingly fitted and furnished to provide a comfortable home from home. It provides a perfect base for families and couples looking to explore this popular area.

Perfectly situated, you can walk directly from the grounds and explore the countryside and banks of the River Tamar. You will also be close to the coves and fishing villages that hug the south Cornish coast, including Polperro and Looe, and the sandy beaches of Whitsand Bay and Seaton. Walkers will be in their element exploring the South West Coast Path and scenic Bodmin Moor, or exploring the picture postcard villages of Lanreath and Lerryn. Other attractions accessible from here include the historic naval city of Plymouth, Pentillie Castle and Gardens, Lanhydrock House, Sibleyback Lake and Cardinham Woods, and slightly further away on the North Coast but still within easy reach are the surfing beaches of Polzeath, Padstow and Watergate Bay.

Stepping inside this beautifully characterful property you will find all of the accommodation handily arranged on the one ground floor. Venture further in and discover an impressively open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which boasts a vaulted ceiling, countryside views, Smart TV and patio doors to outside. Here is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading out or relax in style at the end of the day. The stunning kitchen is also perfectly appointed and equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a useful utility area with a washer/dryer, accessed from the hallway. Venture back into the hallway which then leads through to the stunning bedrooms, the master super-king-size has French doors leading to outside and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC, and the second a perfectly appointed spacious twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king-size on request), also boasting an en-suite shower and WC.

Venturing outside you will then discover a fabulous enclosed garden with a lawn, sun terrace with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ, and a further patio area. Here is the perfect place to dine alfresco when the weather permits or even just enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple at the end of the day. Guests can also enjoy access to two acres of grounds including a play paddock with football net and nearby access to three public footpaths. Ample private off-road parking is provided. We thorougly enjoyed our trip. The accommodation is ideally placed with easy access to Plymouth and both the South and North coasts. The accommodation itself is newly built in 2020 and was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Stunning holiday rental in a beautiful location. Such a peaceful and relaxing setting to enjoy countryside walks and views, including spectacular sunsets. The Mowhay was a great find. We had a lovely, if not too short break with 3 generations. The cottage had everything we needed, modern yet cosy.
