Located in the perfect position to be able to explore the coastlines of North and South Devon as well as Somerset, you’ll find plenty of scenic walks to explore, dog-friendly pubs to visit and a whole host of seaside adventures to enjoy. Cosy and comfortable, this traditional property harks back to a simpler time, with evenings spent enjoying a good book or listening to beautiful music on the antique record player.

Inside, the cottage is quaint and characterful, packed with period features and quirky nooks and crannies to explore. The open-plan lounge/dining area features antique furniture and a lovely wood burner. You won’t have any problems dropping off to sleep in the charming double bedroom, where soft lighting from the lamp and chandelier create a peaceful haven. Your four-legged friends will love the enclosed cottage garden, where they can run and play fetch whilst you sit in the summerhouse enjoying an early morning coffee.

In North Curry, there is a well-stocked post office and convenience store within half a mile of the property, where you can purchase all your holiday essentials. Just a little further up the road is a community coffee shop situated in a converted stable, serving tea, coffee and a delicious selection of home-made cakes and light refreshments. North Curry itself lies on the edge of the spectacular Somerset Levels and Moors, which is one of the most important wetlands in the world and home to a plethora of birds and with plenty of opportunities for walkies.

A home away from home. A lovely cottage with everything you need for a relaxed stay including puzzles, cds, wifi and tv. We did some circular walks from the cottage around the countryside visiting local sights including Burrow Mump. The garden is safe and secure and we loved being able to drive in, close the gate and then let the dog run round and Read moresniff. We are so glad we chose Westfield Cottage for a break. Everything in working order and the house was nice and warm to return to after a winter walk. Garden is great for a dog, being fully enclosed, and the cottage benefits from nice views from the sitting room. The cottage was comfortable, there were fresh eggs, milk, orange juice, shortbread biscuits and olives waiting for me. There was a dog basket and bowl ready for my four legged friend. I've stayed several times before and have a great experience each time. It's a lovely little cottage, in a beautiful area, with great walks direct from the door. Brilliant for myself and the dog. This is one of the best places we've stayed. A large, pretty garden that was fully enclosed and private - ideal for our German Shepherd. There were footpaths going in all directions from the door, some leading to arable land where we could let him run safely off lead. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and beautiful. After staying in a very disappointing holiday cottage in Lincolnshire last year, Westfield Cottage was the total opposite. A beautiful cottage, set in peaceful surroundings. The owner, Peter, met us on arrival and was very helpful but never intrusive. An excellent place to relax and recharge your batteries, but plenty of things to see and do if you wish. My boxer dog loved it here and spent a lot of time lazing on the sun terrace, listening to the birds.

Excellent cottage stay. Friendly and thoughtful owner. Private and peaceful inside and out. Garden very dog friendly and fully enclosed. Beautiful cottage, spacious with a homely feel, very well equipped and very comfortable. We were just disappointed that we weren't staying for an extra week! We had a lovely stay, the weather was gorgeous all week. The interior of the cottage is very old fashioned which was quite quaint but the sofa was extremely uncomfortable. Super walks from the door. We didn't feel able to allow our Lurcher off lead in the garden even though it was secure, there was only a 5ft fence between our cottage and the ownerRead mores cottage which our Lurcher would have been able to jump over if she had a mind too, it wasn't worth the risk. We are are in our seventies and had to lift the huge wooden gates to open them into the garden . The middle step from the garden to the patio is a bit of a drop for any one with a disability . Your luggage has to be carried the length of the garden and down the side of the cottage . This cottage is absolutely ideal for couples and dogs. Fully equipped and then some. We would definitely recommend this cottage the local people in the village are very friendly, local chip van at the village hall is a must & none greasey, also good for dog walks.

Beautiful safe gardens. Well equipped kitchen. Owner said was mothers annex and definitely holds her old bed/ furniture/ornaments ect. Ok if you like clutter, we dont. Just think if yr letting a place, get rid of some stuff, and perhaps deep clean sometimes. We left day early just for our comfort as settee and bed not the best. shame as owner lovelRead morey. A well equipped cottage in a stunning setting. The garden is beautiful and perfect for dogs, lots of walks out from the cottage. Peter is an excellent host and provides a very generous welcome pack. This is our 3rd visit, once again we had a great break.
