Pretty as a picture, this romantic cottage for two is a wildlife lover’s dream, with beautiful views across the garden out to open fields beyond and situated within easy access to the nearby RSPB Nature Reserve. Located in the perfect position to be able to explore the coastlines of North and South Devon as well as Somerset, you’ll find plenty of scenic walks to explore, dog-friendly pubs to visit and a whole host of seaside adventures to enjoy. Cosy and comfortable, this traditional property harks back to a simpler time, with evenings spent enjoying a good book or listening to beautiful music on the antique record player.

Inside, the cottage is quaint and characterful, packed with period features and quirky nooks and crannies to explore. The open-plan lounge/dining area features antique furniture and a lovely wood burner. You won’t have any problems dropping off to sleep in the charming double bedroom, where soft lighting from the lamp and chandelier create a peaceful haven. Your four-legged friends will love the enclosed cottage garden, where they can run and play fetch whilst you sit in the summerhouse enjoying an early morning coffee.

In North Curry, there is a well-stocked post office and convenience store within half a mile of the property, where you can purchase all your holiday essentials. Just a little further up the road is a community coffee shop situated in a converted stable, serving tea, coffee and a delicious selection of home-made cakes and light refreshments. North Curry itself lies on the edge of the spectacular Somerset Levels and Moors, which is one of the most important wetlands in the world and home to a plethora of birds and with plenty of opportunities for walkies.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Had a wonderful break felt comfortable and very clean we were able to relax. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could have needed, great for our dogs who had a garden and great walks straight from the bungalow.

The owners, Peter and Fay were very welcoming and helpful with any queries. The cottage is joined to their home but very private. The pretty cottage garden is not overlooked and very secure for our dog Archie who was also made very welcome. The views from the lounge are gorgeous and the cottage is well placed in Somerset for very many places to visRead moreit. We stayed here last summer and returned for another excellent week at Westfield cottage. It was well equipped and our host, Peter, was very helpful. I recommend it to those wanting a quiet location with a village shop and good pub within about 20 minutes walk.

A truly magical find. Extremely well equipped and very comfortable. Everything you need is provided, also tea, coffee, milk etc, plus a few food bits in the cupboard, also some shortbread, eggs and some wine, a lovely welcoming touch. Warm, secure cottage, surrounded by lovely countryside and a lovely village. Everything you need is there. After all those months of lockdown it was just what we needed. Oh, and the bed is just so comfortable- always time for a second cup of tea in the morning!

A lovely quiet annex cottage entirely furnished in the Olde World fashion. Well stocked library, CDs & DVDs but no DVD player. A welcome drinks and some homegrown apples were provided and also a small supply of basic food stuff like milk, cooking oil, etc. which is very helpful if one is travelling from afar

We enjoyed the cottage and garden which was perfect and safe and secure for our two small poodles. They loved the space and we loved sitting in the sun. The owner Peter was there to greet us. It is a delightful and comfortable holiday cottage set in peaceful countryside about 15 minutes walk from North Curry. Our host, Peter, was there to meet us with home grown produce and to show us around. There was WiFi, digital TV, and many books plus sun loungers for use in the garden. Very friendly on arrival. Lovely gesture of fresh eggs from their chickens and tomatoes and a cucumber from their garden. The kitchen had plenty of stock, which was great to arrive and not having to worry about tea and coffee etc. Will definitely recommend and would go back as the setting was so beautiful and tranquil.

What a great little find. Beautiful cottage with a gorgeous garden in a great location. We have just returned from our short break here. A really comfortable, roomy pleasant cottage. Ideally equipped with quality yet very homely furniture and equipment. A nice sized garden for the dog, with no 'escape' holes in the fence so we could relax when he was outside.

Lovely little cottage nestled behind Helland House. Nice and peaceful location. The cottage had everything you need and more. The owner met us as we arrived and showed us around the property. He was such a nice gentleman, gave advise on places to eat and visit. Was left some fruit and veg, together with some nibbles. We had a lovely time staying in North Curry. It was ideally located for day trips to places like Cheddar Gorge, Wells Cathedral, Beer Beach, Lyme Regis and many other places of interest but also quiet enough to just sit out and chill in the garden and listen to the birds. Excellent location & charming accommodation, garden is totally dog safe, great food at Bird in the Hand pub in village, Peter the owner was terrific. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely return.
