In this cottage’s spacious open-plan arrangement, the whole pack can spend many fun and relaxing evenings together. Sleeping five, and welcoming two of your canine companions, it’s perfectly located for coastal walks and trips to the beach, including the spectacular stretch of sand at Embleton Bay (3 miles). At the property there’s also a lockable shed so you can safely store bikes, as well as all of your hound’s favourite toys!

Take off your coats and unclip Lassie’s lead. After dinner and a bowl of something tasty for your top dog, let them stretch out on the rug while you stay seated. The stylish low-hanging pendant lights above the table add a lovely warm glow to your evening, as you discuss ideas for the days ahead. From the kitchen/diner, move across to the lounge area for a seat on one of the sofas, where your dog can curl up at your feet. Play games, watch TV, or share stories over drinks. At the end of the night, enjoy a peaceful sleep in one of the three elegant bedrooms. Outside there is an enclosed patio garden, perfect for a summer BBQ - don’t forget to throw your four-pawed pal a bone too! As the fence is low, you will need to supervise dogs keen to sniff around.

Walkies will really set tails wagging along the Northumberland Coast – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – with the likes of Dunstanburgh Castle (3.5 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (10.5 miles) to explore. Let your dog get their sea legs on a boat trip to Longstone Island, setting off from Seahouses (7.5 miles). This is the only one of the Farne Islands where dogs are allowed to set their paws on land.

Great location. Trains go past frequently but you hear a 10second whoosh and thats all. Some noise through wall from adjacent property especially in single bedroom. Very clean and well equipped. Shame there was no welcome pack such as milk and biscuits and more local info would be helpful.

Lovely cottage. Clean and spacious. The weather was pretty awful the whole week, so it was lovely to go back to warm and comfortable accommodation.

Property clean and comfortable. No shop in village despite booking information stating otherwise. Lovely location despite the trains being extremely close to the property and regular. Great central location for the stunning Northumberland coast.

The cottage was wonderful, clean and decorated to a high standard and was dog friendly. It's would of been beneficial to have local amenities and things in the surrounding area. The wild life was fabulous and friendly neighbours. The only downside was the trains run all night but quickly got use to them.

Cottage is central to all areas, not much in the small village but plenty of areas to visit. Cottage has everything you need. If you like a firm mattress then this is the one for you. The freight trains do run through the night but they go at a lesser speed so the noise did not bother us, in fact it was quite soothing to hear the low rumble.

Newton halt South is a well equipped comfortable cottage. Ideal location for exploring Nortumberland. Ok, it's near the railway but it was never really an issue for us. Would recommend highly.

The cottage was comfortable and equipped as described. A few of our party found the beds a bit hard, and not so easy for five to sit and watch the football, but watching England win at the Blink Bonny, (local pub just the other side of the level crossing) proved to be a great solution. Prices were amazingly low but only take cash and the locals werRead moree extremely welcoming. Hide

Overall we thought the cottage was a great place to stay. The layout is well thought out and it is very warm and cosy. We ate out each night but cooking facilities and kitchen equipment were spot on. Perhaps some information on the local area and places to eat would be a good idea. There was nothing at the cottage with this kind of information
