This traditional cottage is the perfect romantic retreat, situated in a unique location and enjoying stunning sea views.
This pretty, one-level cottage with sweeping sea views is just 100 metres from the ocean. Your four-legged friend will love the sights, sounds and smells of the cliff-top walks along the St Agnes Heritage Coast; enjoy morning walks alongside the sea, and explore the beautiful landscape and fascinating heritage of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The cottage is accessed via an unmade track that is not suitable for cars with low clearance. The cosy lounge/diner is ideal for relaxing in the evenings watching TV and enjoying the wood burner with your dog curled up at your feet. The double bedroom has its own TV and en-suite facilities, and there’s no better way to round off a bracing, energising coastal walk than to enjoy a BBQ in the garden or sunroom, looking out to the sea.
You’re just 1 mile from the pretty village of St Agnes and its craft shops, artists’ galleries and great restaurants and cafes. Among the fabulous dog-friendly beaches that you can access from St Agnes are Trevaunance Cove with its harbour ruins, and Trevellas-Porth beach with its derelict tin mine buildings. The Blue Hills Tin Streams centre, less than a mile from these beaches, still produces tin and welcomes two- and four-legged visitors. Just 1.5 miles from the property along the South West Coast Path are the striking ruins of the former tin mine of Wheal Coates – the inspiration for the original Poldark books – past rugged mineral-stained rocks. Only 3.5 miles in the other direction, through landscape that harks back to Cornwall’s tin mining history, is the pretty town of Perranporth with its expansive dog-friendly sandy beach. Expect a tired dog to be snoozing at your feet by the fire at the end of a perfect day.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
