This cosy cottage is situated in a rural location, just 1.5 miles from the far-stretching sandy shores of Minehead Beach – the ideal spot for you and your canine companion to take a dip. Here you will also find the start of the South West Coast Path, England's longest waymarked long-distance footpath and a National Trail that runs 630 miles from Minehead to Poole Harbour in Dorset. The cottage itself has two bedrooms and sleeps up to four guests. Two furry guests are also welcome, and the pretty secluded gardens and surrounding countryside are great for wet noses and wagging tails to investigate.
Still boasting its original mid-19th-century beams and an exquisite stained glass window, this traditional cottage is set across two levels. It offers a comfortable open-plan living room and kitchen/diner on the ground floor and a chestnut staircase that leads up to the eaves where the bedrooms and a family shower room can be found. Outside, through the feature stable door are lawned gardens for you and your hound to relax and enjoy balmy evenings in, while at the side of the property is an enclosed private paved area with a useful hose for washing muddy boots and paws. There is also a shared utility room and rear garden, which offers beautiful countryside views.
If you fancy a day out, take the lead and head to the seaside resort of Minehead, which is 2.5 miles away. Here you will find a whole host of shops and dog-friendly pubs and eateries to set tails wagging. A trip to the medieval village of Dunster is a must too. Just a mile and a half from the cottage and with its castle, yarn market and tithe barn, Dunster is sure to set tails wagging.
