Enjoy relaxing under the stars in your own hot tub, surrounded by tranquil Herefordshire pastures and trees. A beautifully renovated barn set within the owner’s smallholding is simply perfect for couples.
Immerse yourselves in the natural beauty of Herefordshire and take your favourite furry friend with you to enjoy long country walks and relaxing evenings. Nestled in the countryside near Lucton, about 5 miles from the border with Wales, this one-bedroom cottage sleeps two guests and one delighted dog, possibly even a second by special arrangement. An exquisite former barn, it has been creatively converted to provide stylish accommodation, capturing picturesque views, and comes with a private courtyard area and hot tub.
Arrive at this special retreat and step inside with your faithful friend at your heel to discover an open-plan kitchen/diner still featuring original timberwork. Fill up Rover’s water bowl, dish up his dinner and pop any damp towels into the washer/dryer. Set about preparing a romantic meal for two, then enjoy it at the table. Climb the stairs to the first-floor lounge to while away the evening in front of the Smart TV, with Netflix, while your contented canine dreams about his adventurous day. When you are ready for bed too, make your way back downstairs to the king-size bedroom and shower room. Have breakfast out in the sunshine on summer days while Rover pads about nearby, then fire up your hot tub later. There is also parking for one car at the cottage.
Find all kinds of fabulous footpaths and walking routes in the area that will ensure Rover’s tail doesn’t stop wagging from start to finish. Visit the National Trust’s Croft Castle and Parkland, 2 miles from the cottage, where four-legged visitors can also explore the 1,500 acres of parkland and garden, and even take refreshment in the glazed section of the tearoom with you afterwards. Take Rover to Queenswood Country Park, 10.5 miles away, to wander by your side along footpaths and through the trees.
