This cottage enjoys a delightful position on the edge of the pretty village of Monyash. Excellent walking and cycling trails through the Peak District are just a stone’s throw from the cottage.

This picturesque rural stone cottage has everything you and your canine companion will need for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in the countryside. Sleeping two people with space for up to two dogs, the accommodation is cosy, quaint and on the edge of the pretty village of Monyash, which is home to plenty of dog-friendly pubs as well as an abundance of walking and cycling routes.

Upon arrival at the cottage, you and your pup will enter into the open-plan lounge and kitchen/diner, which is fully equipped with all the essentials. Whip up a delicious meal for yourself and a scrumptious bowl of treats for your dog in this space, before digging into dinner at the dining table or outside in the charming shared cottage garden during the summer months. After dinner, sit back and relax in front of a DVD or head upstairs to hit the hay in the double bedroom, which is nestled into the eaves of the cottage – bliss! A sloping ceiling adds to the charm of this gorgeous bedroom, not to mention the en-suite that comes with a bath and overhead shower. The cottage is one of five in this location. When booked together, the cottages sleep up to 16 people.

In the nearby village of Monyash, the local pub offers a warm welcome to hounds in its bar and garden area. With a roaring fire and water bowl to boot, four-legged visitors will be able to put their paws up after a day of walking or cycling along the Tissington Trail, which has a tunnel entrance 15 miles away from Monyash and runs for 13 miles from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne. The famous market town of Bakewell is also just 5.5 miles away from this property and is best known for its unique pudding. Just make sure your canine friend doesn’t scoff the lot!

Set in an ideal location for us to get out and about. Could you consider adding the Hydro cafe in Buxton and Angel Inn Holmesfield to places to eat. This is because as a ceoliac these places provide good and generous gluten free meals.

The cottage was lovely With the enclosed large garden a bonus. We travelled with relatives who had the cottage next door it was great to be able to let the dogs run around knowing they were safe. Everything was very dog friendly with treats for the dogs and the garden was very neat too. Plenty of garden furniture to use if you have the weather to eRead moreat outside. A nice pub was about half a mile away and some good walks on the doorstep too. Hide
