Situated half a mile from the village of St Dogmaels on the estuary of the River Teifi in West Wales, this single-storey property sleeps two guests as well as two of their four-legged friends. The riverside is less than 100 metres from the property’s front door; a gentle stroll along it will bring you to the village centre and on towards the historic town of Cardigan, 2 miles away.

With a cosy and welcoming feel, this bungalow is an ideal base from which to explore this pretty area of West Wales. The open-plan living area comprises a lounge/kitchen/diner which has been finished with personal touches to give it a comfortable and homely atmosphere. To the rear of the property, the enclosed garden is mainly gravelled and is a great spot for enjoying al fresco drinks whilst your puppy pals sniff around and stretch their legs.

Walking from this property, you can easily reach St Dogmaels village centre where you can find a choice of places to eat, several of which are idyllically situated on the riverside. The river meanders east from here to Cardigan, or north towards the beach at Poppit Sands, part of which is open to dogs throughout the year, ensuring that your canine companion can experience the joys of the sea wind in his fur and the waves lapping at his paws even during the height of summer. Less than 50 metres from the front door of the property, you can discover splendid walks along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, where a bus runs at convenient times allowing you pick it up at the end of a day of walking.

Beautiful little cottage. Perfect for the two of us and the two dogs. Comfy bed, nice and quiet area. Secure garden with seating which was gravelled (no grass area) We did have an issue with no hot water when we arrived however once I contacted the owner she sorted it straight away - she had to get an engineer in. Lovely and close to Poppit sands wRead morehich the dogs loved. A stroll to the pub which is dog friendly, nice and cozy. Lovely little chip shop local too. Hide

Perfect place for 2 and dogs, ideally located for close proximity to Poppit Sands, cardigan town and an absolutely amazing pub with gorgeous views and excellent food.

This cottage is perfect for two people. Every room is a good size and thoughtfully furnished. The open plan kitchen and living room make for a comfortable and very useable living space, and the bedroom is cosy but with plenty of storage for two people. But the location is the cottage's main asset, opposite the gorgeous estuary and near to Poppit SaRead morends, an excellent pub and the amenities of the pretty St.Dogmaels and Cardigan. We have just had a lovely week at Moorings cottage with our dog. The cottage is in a fantastic location and the directions sent made it very easy to find. The cottage is a little dated but has everything you will need . Bed is comfy but if you are fussy about pillows then take your own. Conveniently located, but cottage is tired and dated, however it is clean and with some improvements to the kitchen and bathroom it could be much better.

This cottage / bungalow is well placed and has good back yard for doggies but we found it a bit depressing backing on to a car park for flats. It was cold and a bit dated and there was no real welcome within it not even a bit of cooking oil we had to buy all cleaning products apart from washing up liquid.

Very good location with a very pleasant equipped cottage. Good for visiting local coastal villages and Pembrokeshire. All local inns very good with different styles. Ferry Inn staff make you feel very welcome if aware you are a visitor.

Internet access not great and unable to stream films. Shower pressure very poor and shower head slips down resulting in very disappointing shower. There was black mould marks on shower curtain and bleach staines on bath mat. Bedroom carpet needs replacing and there was also a strange smell in the bedroom possibly damp. The whole cottage felt dated Read moreand unwelcoming. This is the first cottage I have stayed in without a few basic items being available on arrival e.g. tea bags and milk. Hide

Lovely cottage in a very quiet location, close to the local pub and a walk or short drive to the nearest beach. Cottage was clean and comfortable with an enclosed garden and its own driveway for 1 car. Internet was intermittent and when it did work, the signal was not strong enough to stream.

The 'central' heating is pre-set by the owner in terms of on and off times and temperatures so it is not the normal type of 'central' heating associated with most cottages we have stayed in. The Wi-Fi signal in the cottage is very low and is presumably originating in the owners nearby house. This either needs a better amplifier or should not be advRead moreertised as having Wi-Fi. We felt we had everything we needed in the cottage, however, a BIG negative was the lack of any local information, eg: nearest doctor/vet, as well as leaflets/suggested walks. The cottage was cold due to extremely low settings on the thermostats, which are locked. The shower is difficult to set to a comfortable temperature and the shower head contiRead morenually slips down. The garden is nice, secure and well maintained . The cottage was in a very nice location. However, Cottage is a bit dated and was very cold, despite us having a sunny week. Radiators are controlled by owner and are not on long enough to heat the rooms. Electric fire in lounge was very good but not powerful enough to heat bedroom and bathroom.
