Situated in a peaceful, central position this single level converted barn is one of four located on an old 140-acre dairy farm in the heart of the Cornish countryside.
This rural retreat in Cornwall is an ideal place for you and your canine companion to escape the fast pace of everyday life and enjoy long rambles in the countryside or along the coast. The one-level conversion boasts a quiet, secluded situation as well as being close to local shops and pubs. Its convenient location allows relatively easy access to four of Cornwall’s stunning Heritage Coasts offering a variety of walks with breathtaking views. You and your dog will never get tired of throwing and fetching sticks in this wonderful setting.
The stone exterior of this sympathetically converted barn blends in beautifully with its surroundings. Inside, its contemporary décor and spacious accommodation offers its two-legged and four-legged guests a comfortable stay. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area is well proportioned for two guests with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams that add character and height to the space. The double bedroom and shower room are also spacious with high ceilings and neutral tones. There are hard floors throughout, so you don’t need to worry about muddy pawprints on the carpet. Outside, there is an enclosed garden where your dog can have a good sniff around.
The Lizard peninsular (17 miles) offers a wealth of walks across its rugged landscape with access to the South West Coast Path, so grab the dog lead and enjoy feeling the sea breeze in your hair (or fur). There are many beautiful beaches to the south of the property including Porthleven (8 miles) and Praa Sands (11.5 miles) but check any seasonal dog bans that may be in place. The National Trust’s historic and dog-friendly St Michael’s Mount is another must, which is accessed from Marazion (11 miles) by foot or by boat depending on the tides. Alternatively, head north to enjoy the delights of St Ives Bay.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
