Characterful, three-bedroom loft-based apartment, that dates to 1687, located in a quiet valley close to Marazion and St Michael’s Mount.
This delightful 17th century accommodation in the loft of a charming cottage is ideally located for you and your four-legged friends to explore the natural beauty of Cornwall. Close to some of Cornwall’s finest beaches and attractions, including the fishing village and beach of Marazion and The National Trust’s St Michael’s Mount - your holiday will be far from a dog’s life. You may find that after days of breathing in sea air and fetching Cornish sticks your dog wants to relax at the owners’ on-site kennels, while you explore the few places nearby that are not so dog-friendly.
An open-tread staircase leads you up to your accommodation which is packed with character and original features. The vaulted ceilings and exposed beams make the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner feel spacious and - whether you’re cooking, eating or relaxing - man’s best friend will be able to sleep easy in front of the wood burner-effect fire knowing that everyone is in the same room. The bedrooms’ painted stone walls and exposed beams make them feel cosy and comfortable with views over the garden.
Feel the wind in your hair/fur at the most south-westerly point in the UK, Land’s End (14.5 miles), and walk the beautiful South West Coast Path to Sennen or Porthcurno. A mile away, Marazion boasts a sandy beach, but if the seasonal dog bans are in place release your inner sea dog instead and jump on a boat to historic, dog-friendly St Michael’s Mount. If you prefer, you can walk across the causeway at low tide. For more history, English Heritage’s Chysauster Ancient Village is 5 miles away and they are happy for dogs to visit as long as they don’t dig for bones.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
