Property code: MILLE

Characterful, three-bedroom loft-based apartment, that dates to 1687, located in a quiet valley close to Marazion and St Michael’s Mount.

This delightful 17th century accommodation in the loft of a charming cottage is ideally located for you and your four-legged friends to explore the natural beauty of Cornwall. Close to some of Cornwall’s finest beaches and attractions, including the fishing village and beach of Marazion and The National Trust’s St Michael’s Mount - your holiday will be far from a dog’s life. You may find that after days of breathing in sea air and fetching Cornish sticks your dog wants to relax at the owners’ on-site kennels, while you explore the few places nearby that are not so dog-friendly.

An open-tread staircase leads you up to your accommodation which is packed with character and original features. The vaulted ceilings and exposed beams make the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner feel spacious and - whether you’re cooking, eating or relaxing - man’s best friend will be able to sleep easy in front of the wood burner-effect fire knowing that everyone is in the same room. The bedrooms’ painted stone walls and exposed beams make them feel cosy and comfortable with views over the garden.

Feel the wind in your hair/fur at the most south-westerly point in the UK, Land’s End (14.5 miles), and walk the beautiful South West Coast Path to Sennen or Porthcurno. A mile away, Marazion boasts a sandy beach, but if the seasonal dog bans are in place release your inner sea dog instead and jump on a boat to historic, dog-friendly St Michael’s Mount. If you prefer, you can walk across the causeway at low tide. For more history, English Heritage’s Chysauster Ancient Village is 5 miles away and they are happy for dogs to visit as long as they don’t dig for bones.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 3 bedrooms: 2 doubles, 1 single
  • 1 shower room and WC
  • Kitchen – oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine

Lovely cosy cottage, well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable and a perfect location. I stayed with my mum and our furry friends and felt very at home. As advised by other visitors, the stairs up to the property and internally are challenging for elderly people and elderly dogs, merely an observation but not to put anyone off coming to this charmRead moreing loft accommodation. We didnt want to leave and would definitely come back. Hide

Very warm and comfortable. Beds very comfortable with crisp white linen. More equipment in kitchen than any other cottage Ive stayed in. Very good quality pots, pans etc. A lovely welcome pack and great extras such as shower gel, shampoo, sleep aid spray in bedside cabinets etc.

Nice loft. Well equipped. Great location. Would suggest that only suitable for able bodied due to entrance steps and steep internal stairs.

We had a lovely time at millers loft. Ian is a really nice and friendly chap who made us feel relaxed during our stay. The extra touches were a pleasent surprise and shows he highly values his visiters . The stairs could be a problem for older people and aged pets and you may have to carry your dog upstairs as we did. We chose this property due to Read morethe on site kennels which meant we were able to tour the area knowing our dogs were being looked after while we were out. Thanks Ian and the girls Hide

The cottage was clean and cozy. The smaller dog had to be carried up and down the stairs as his short legs couldn't cope. We didn't cater much as we decided to embrace the fact that we were on holiday so we ate out or brought food in but that was personal choice. Fully equipped with everything we needed.

The loft was a lovely place to stay for our family. It is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The owner was very welcoming and had ensured the loft was Covid secured. It was a great base to explore Cornwall, with a fabulous beach only 10 mins in car, or a 40 minute walk.
