Charming cottage set in the idyllic riverside location of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, offering a wonderful countryside retreat to a tranquil spot whilst sitting close to many attractions in the area.
Take one ecstatic furry friend with you to this handsome, single-storey stone cottage at Little Crakehall in North Yorkshire. Just 2.5 miles from the bustling market town of Bedale, the romantic retreat for two makes an idyllic base for exploring the picturesque countryside surrounding you and venturing out into the Yorkshire Dales or the North York Moors National Park. Head back to spend time with your favourite four-legged friend in the cosy cottage or out in the sunshine in its garden.
Enter this inviting abode to find an open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen, where you and your happy hound can relax in comfort. Switch on the living flame fire, choose a film on TV and recline with Rover happily at your feet. Prepare dinner for all three of you with tasty local produce you have sourced on your trips out and dine either inside the cottage or out. As night falls, bid your happy chap goodnight and head off to your bedroom, which has a shower room, with underfloor heating next door. Throw open the French doors to sit out in the courtyard whenever the weather is fine, and watch Rover frolic on the lawn as you fire up the BBQ at dinner time.
Lace up your walking boots, grab the lead and watch soft ears prick up when you head off to explore the lower Dales. Walk beside the river or stroll to Bedale to enjoy lunch in any one of dog-friendly pubs and cafes. Drive 8 miles to Masham on the edge of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and follow a 3.5-mile circular walk along the rivers Burn and Ure, with plenty of opportunities for your pup to paddle. Or drive 9 miles to East Witton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales to wander through Wensleydale.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
