This delightful cottage with hunter lodge interior is located just a few metres from Overton Cliff Nature Reserve and the magnificent Gower Peninsula walking trails. Perfect for nature enthusiasts.

This delightful coastal cottage is set within the spectacular scenery of the Gower Peninsula, one of the UK’s most popular stretches of coastline. An ideal retreat for couples and small families of four, with up to two canine companions welcome too – no one needs be left behind. Decorated in a contemporary hunter’s lodge style with boutique touches, this charming cottage is the perfect place to base yourselves for a truly relaxing break. Located just meters from Overton Cliff Nature Reserve and the walking trails of the spectacular Gower Peninsula, rove with your Rover’s across wild moors, sandy beaches and take in beautiful panoramas from mountain summits.

Upon entering the cottage, you’ll find a handy ground floor shower room with gorgeous statement tiles, its perfect for stepping into after a day exploring the coast. The charming country style kitchen is modern and well-equipped with all the mod-cons required to comfortably cater for any home-based meals throughout your stay. The open-plan lounge and dining area features large, exposed beams and a wood-burner effect electric fire to curl up in front of whilst relaxing on the sumptuous sofas; take in beautiful views of the Gower Peninsula from the landscape sized window. Here you will also find a spacious dining table, so you can enjoy meals together and make plans for your forthcoming activities. The enclosed, steep and uneven staircase (with handrail) is a nod to the cottage’s rich history; taken from the deck of a ship, it is a common feature of properties of this age, though few have retained such charm. The property itself has been named after a sunken ship off Port Eynon. Upstairs there are two attractive double bedrooms, both decorated beautifully, they share a Jack and Jill style bathroom. One of the rooms also features a window seat, overlooking the front of the property. Outside, your pups will enjoy basking in the sunny courtyard space, which also houses bistro style table and chairs and night-time lighting, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere after-dark. Off-road parking is available for one vehicle, just a few meters from the cottage and you can access the front to unload outside.

Whether you’re on two legs or four, you can certainly stretch them and embark on plenty of outdoor adventures directly from your doorstep; the beautiful rugged coastline here spans 46 miles. A popular destination for thrill seekers and ramblers alike, with pursuits to suit all abilities. In the immediate vicinity, Port Eynon is a picturesque village and bay; steeped in history and with links to smugglers and the oyster trade - it’s the perfect location to enjoy a magical day at the beach. Dig for treasure along its vast stretch of sand or explore the remains of ancient oyster pools at low tide. Further afield, just 14 miles away lies The Mumbles, a famous fishing village that’s home to luxury boutiques, independent galleries and incredible ice-cream! Three Cliffs Bay, Rhossili Beach and Caswell Bay can also be reached within 15 miles of the cottage and are all well-known as exceptional dog-friendly seaside destinations.

Attractive period cottage, very well equipped with tasteful decoration throughout, smart TV, and also lots of board games and cards. The stair are very steep ( not really clear from the photo) It is a pity that the courtyard area is very small and also it would be useful to have somewhere to dry wet coats etc when the weather is bad. The lane outsidRead moree is lovely and peaceful and leads directly to lots of fabulous walking. We had a very pleasant stay here. Limited access to food shops nearby. Hide

Milan Cottage is a beautiful old cottage in a very quiet and remote spot. As its so remote there is little to no mobile phone signal and also the WIFI is not 100% reliable, the owners are wonderful and truthful about this. If you are looking for a complete escape this is perfect.

Great location and generally nice cottage. Comfort was fine but a couple of improvements could be made, though internet/mobile signal strength issues may not be easily overcome.
