Ideal for a small family or couples, this charming Norfolk flint cottage complete with woodburner for cosy nights is located just a stone’s throw from long stretches of sandy beach.

Enjoy a coastal break at Bacton in Norfolk and take one delighted dog along with you. This two-bedroom, mid-terrace, brick and flint cottage is less than 500 metres from the sandy beach, where your happy hound can leave paw prints on certain sections all year round. Sleeping up to four guests, the property is ideal for a small family and is well-positioned for access to Bacton Woods, the Norfolk Broads and the stunning beaches of North Norfolk.

Step in and leave your shoes and dog leads in the vestibule before wandering through into the open-plan lounge/diner. Fire up the wood burner so your furry friend can warm himself after his dip in the sea or long woodland walk then head through to the adjoining kitchen. Feed Fido his dinner then whip up a delicious meal for everyone else. You also have a washing machine in here to help you manage any damp clothing or towels. Set the table then find a film to watch later on the Smart TV/DVD while Fido stretches out, exhausted from all the fun. The family bathroom is also at this level while your two bedrooms are on the first floor. One of these is a double and the other is a twin. After a good night’s sleep, take your faithful friend to stretch his legs then return home to relax out in the enclosed courtyard until it’s time to head off on another adventure. Parking at this cottage is on the road, subject to availability.

Head out from Bacton along the Norfolk Coast Path. Attempt the 10-mile stretch to Waxham, where your pal can run free at any time of the year. Or, make a trip to the Jacobean Felbrigg Hall, 11 miles away, where your chum can explore the attractive grounds and gardens with you.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double and 1 twin
  • 1 family bathroom with shower over bath and WC
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine
  • Smart TV/DVD player in lounge
  • Wood burner (first basket of logs included)
  • Enclosed courtyard with furniture
  • Unallocated on street parking at the front of the property
  • Beach, shop and pub within 1 mile
  • Arrival: 17:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details

What a place! My dog and I have just spent a week at Middle Cottage and we loved it - the location is amazing, two mins to a stunning beach. The cottage has everything you could possibly need - it was cosy, comfortable and well equipped with all mod cons. Genuinely couldnt have asked for a better break - we will be back!

Situated on a quiet street a stones throw from the beach this property is a gem. Just bear in mind that parking during peak times could pose a problem. The location is ideal for those who wish to get away from the main tourist areas. Would recommend a visit to Carmel Cafe, which provides excellent service. It may be Vegan, but dont let that put youRead more off as the food is excellent and has been sourced with great care. An amble down to the Lighthouse Inn is recommended. Hide

The situation of the cottage, just a couple of minutes walk to the beach or 10 mins to the pub id brilliant. However, the road is small, parking difficult,as , although unrestricted, residents like to have ' their' spaces and are not happy if you park in them. Also, though we followed the notice about the bins to the letter, the bin was not emptiedRead more until some 36 hours later! Hide
