A delightful cottage which is perfect for larger groups, with local amenities on the doorstep and easy access to some of the national park’s most popular sights.

Explore the Brecon Beacons from this property at Llangynidr near Crickhowell and find fabulous waterside and hill walks to set your four-legged friend’s tail wagging with joy. Ideal for a group holiday or two families seeking to escape together, this four-bedroom, holiday home for eight also welcomes one happy hound. Exhaust yourselves with daytime adventures then return home to relax in the garden or unwind over a pint in one of the village’s dog-friendly pubs.

Wander into this modern property and into its bright kitchen, where you can perch at the breakfast bar with a cup of tea, while your hungry hound enjoys his well-earned dinner. Find everything you need in here too to prepare homecooked meals for everyone else to sit down to at the table in the lounge/diner. Play games with your party in the lounge area in the evenings or watch the Smart TV or a DVD while your dog reclines at your feet. A twin and a king-size bedroom are also located downstairs, together with a shower room with rails. A double bedroom and a family room, which has a double bed and single bed, are up on the first floor, along with a bathroom. Call your four-pawed pup into the garden on fine days while you light the BBQ and play fetch in the fresh air. There is ample parking at the holiday home.

Call your contented canine and stroll down to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal to watch the barges drift by. Wander as far as you like along the tow path in either direction. Energetic pups and people can embark upon a 10-mile hike to Chartist’s Cave, where weapons were stored during the Newport Rising of 1839. Pen-y-Fan, the highest summit in South Wales is approximately 17 miles from the house and can be attempted by very able canine companions.

Great location for our group of 6 cyclists with lockable bike shed and plenty of hot water. Thanks for the Welsh cakes, tea & coffee! The Red Lion pub is just a couple of minutes walk up the road and serves reasonable priced simple food and real ale. We will hopefully be back to stay sometime soon!

The cottage is very well equipped and the owners are so friendly and helpful. On arrival there was milk, coffee and welsh cakes waiting for us, a lovely touch that was very much appreciated. The cottage was very clean and obviously well maintained with plenty of space to relax.
