It is also a popular destination for four-legged friends thanks to miles of hound-approved beaches and more scenic walks then you can shake a stick at. The property sleeps three guests across two cosy bedrooms, with plenty of room for Fido’s basket downstairs. The owners have even provided all the essentials plus a few extra treats, from biscuits to coffee pods.
Studded amongst the pretty streets of historic Bocastle, this delightful property has a traditional stone exterior and narrow front door. Inside, it’s a splendid and extremely cosy haven with an exposed stone fireplace in both the lounge and kitchen/dining room. The lounge also has an inviting wood burner for chilly evenings relaxing with your beloved hound at your feet. Climb the stairs to find a handy shower room and the double bedroom, a charming room that adjoins the smaller single bedroom. Outside, there is a pretty patio area with garden furniture for al fresco drinks, accessed via four steps from the pathway. There’s roadside parking available, as well as spaces in the nearby public car park.
The centre of the village is a short 1-mile walk away, offering visitors a choice of entertainment from the Museum of Witchcraft to dog-friendly eateries such as the Cobweb Inn. Bocastle Harbour is a simply stunning place to explore, featuring the ‘Devil’s Bullows’ - a blowhole which is active an hour before and after low tide. 4 miles along the coast is majestic Tintagel with its famous ruins, steep cliff walks and endearing Old Post Office. The bridge is not for the faint hearted!
