Property code: MASTR

Situated on the cobbled streets of Appledore, this cottage is in the perfect setting for a couple’s getaway - with coastal walks, locals’ pubs, and seafood restaurants all to choose from. There is an array of pubs and restaurants that welcome your furry friends. The property, with its exposed beams and wood burner, has a charming cottage feel to it which will easily make you feel right at home.

As you walk through the front door you arrive in the lounge/dining area. With an interior made up of wooden floors and light walls, this area is decorated to maximise space and offers plenty of room for Fido to roam. Make yourselves comfortable around the wood burning stove, the ideal place to eat treats and make use of the Freeview TV/DVD by putting on a film. Venturing up the steep wooden steps you will come to the first floor where you can find a double bedroom, shower room with WC and a snug with views out to sea. This is the perfect place to enjoy that morning coffee before heading out for the day.

A day out for everyone can be found at Westward Ho! just 2.5 miles away. The beach welcomes people and dogs alike, but ensure you enter the beach over the walkway at the pebble ridge bridge in summer months when restrictions are in place. Before you leave, why not try your luck at the amusement arcades? Spend your evenings down at The Beaver, where four legs are just as welcome as two. Here you will find real ale, views across to Saunton Sands and the town of Barnstaple, and if you’re lucky you may even catch some live music.

  • 1 double bedroom
  • Snug with seating with views over the estuary
  • Shower room with WC
  • Freeview TV/DVD, Bluetooth speaker
  • Wood burner  (logs to be purchased locally)

  • Roadside parking available locally, or in Church Fields car park a short distance from the cottage ( £25 per week) which can be pre booked for your stay. There is also electric vehicle charging points in the car park
  • The property welcomes dogs but it is important to note that this old fisherman`s cottage does not have outside space (access to the foreshore is just a few steps round the corner)
  • Beach 2 miles, pub and shops within walking distance
  • Regret no infants, the property has steep cottage-like stairs and not suitable
  • Arrival: 15:30 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

A lovely cottage on the best street in town! Walking distance to the pubs and town and the views from the upstairs room are great - if you ignore the roof tops. Everything you need is provided. It has a nice feel and is tastefully decorated. Issues - no parking so you have to street park or pay car park rates. The lounge is quite dark with only oneRead more small window. No central heating - wood burner (logs not provided) and electric oil radiators. Stairs very narrow/steep - not for less mobile people! Hide
