Situated in the Kent Down Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this traditional cottage sleeps six guests and one dog. The location is ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors, offering great opportunities for their four-legged friend to get out in the fresh air. The cottage is surrounded by rural walks in the countryside, including a canal-side path, and you can also explore the coast and get some sand between the paws. On your return, throw another log on the fire, and snuggle into the sofa while your canine companion curls contentedly at your feet.
Original features abound inside the property, including brickwork and exposed wooden beams throughout. The spacious lounge, with its wood burner, soft furnishings and understated elegant décor is a dream. After a day out exploring, once the shoes, coats, and leads have been put away in the entrance hall, and any clothes or towels thrown into the washing machine, everyone will gather in the lounge to stretch out and relax in the warmth. There is also a delightful snug with its own TV. Each bedroom is unique in shape and style, with the same high level of comfort and amazing views. Cook up a storm in the quaint kitchen and dine at the long wooden table, or head outside and set the BBQ going – not forgetting a juicy piece of meat for Fido of course.
From the cottage there are plenty of possibilities for exploring further afield. The local village of Aldington is 3 miles away and as well as its selection of shops and cafes, be sure to take your dog to sniff out the Poulton Wood Nature Reserve with its acres of beautiful bluebell woodland. Beyond that, the port towns of Folkestone (13 miles) and Dover (20 miles) will provide your hound with a whole host of new smells and exciting cliffside walks: as long as everyone has a head for heights!
