Newly refurbished with a stylish interior, this spacious character cottage has endless charm for families or couples as a base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer.
You’re never far from the beach at this delightful cottage, with coastal touches throughout giving subtle nods to its enviable location. The beach at Polruan is just 1.5 miles away, giving plenty of opportunity for salty fur and sandy paws - because what’s a family holiday without your beloved canine companion? After a day exploring, cosy up beside the open fire and enjoy the luxury of time together.
Packed with character and sympathetically restored, this cottage has an abundance of charm. Sit beneath the exposed beams on the window seat and watch the world go by or lay back and relax on the comfortable sofa in front of your favourite show. A stable door leads to the light and airy kitchen/diner - the perfect space for socialising. Enjoy a lazy breakfast or a hearty evening meal at the dining table and plan your days ahead, or perhaps dine alfresco in the enclosed courtyard garden as Fido sniffs out a sunny corner in which to snooze. Upstairs, you’ll find the two bedrooms, both super king-size zip and links (which can be made into twins on request).
Join the South West Coast Path which runs close to the property and explore Cornwall’s rugged coastline; keen hikers and their energetic young pups will love the challenging 7-mile route between Polruan Quay and Polperro. For a gentler stroll, roam the Fowey Estuary that lies just steps from the cottage. Relax on the National Trust’s shingle beach at Lantic Bay (1.5 miles), where your hound will happily bound into the water, or venture further south and discover The Lost Gardens of Heligan (25 miles), where dogs are welcome year-round. No visit to Cornwall is complete without a trip to the Eden Project (16 miles), where you and Mutley can explore the magnificent outdoor gardens.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
