Peacefully tucked away in the heart of Devon amongst some of England’s most stunning countryside, within easy reach of seaside resorts and just a short walk to the heart of the pretty village and pub.

Delightful Devon is packed with lots of secluded cottages, but perhaps the nicest of all is this one-bedroom, one-bathroom property in the heart of Lapford; a perfect bolthole to relax in and feel like you’re escaping the rat race. The Mid Devon property is well-placed in a village location, which is within easy reach of shops and entertainment as well as wonderful natural beauty spots for walkers and nature lovers. Two dogs are welcome at the property, so pack the doggy bags, treats and a ball and dust off your walking boots. This is a place of exploration and stunning scenery.

The cottage neighbours the owner’s home in a private location. Step into the kitchen/diner via the pretty cobbled courtyard and enjoy a feast with local fare. A hall is set off the kitchen/diner with plenty of space to store coats, muddy boots and leads after a countryside walk. The owner’s B&B with its own licensed bar is adjacent to the property. Here you’ll be able to indulge in ciders made with apples from the two orchards. A spacious bathroom with bath is ideal for cleaning off muddy paws after a seaside jaunt.

The friendly village of Lapford is home to the village pub, where you and your pups can mingle with the locals and appreciate traditional ales from the area. For those in search of adventure, you’ll be mad to miss the cathedral city of Exeter (18 miles away), which combines high-street shopping with a wealth of places of interest. Dog walkers are well-catered for in the local area with the national parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor just 23 miles away, providing breathtaking views wherever you look.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
