This lovely cottage borders the moors of the South Pennines, an area of  valleys and moorland, with old market towns. On The Tops sits in its own eleven acre farmland, with breath-taking views over the surrounding countryside. Local wildlife is right on the doorstep where the keen eyed can spot hunting barn owls and deer. Local walks start right at the farm gate.

Enjoy an idyllic retreat with friends, family and pups at this charming single-storey bungalow which sleeps six. Your rural location is perfect for those with four paws who can scamper safely in the enclosed garden whilst you fire up the BBQ for sizzling summer feasts. The local market town of Todmorden is 3.5 miles away and has eateries and pubs so you can enjoy a night off from the kitchen.

Head inside and make use of the handy entrance hall where you can leave outer layers and leads. Settle in the heart of the home which is open plan so you can all be together in this cosy space. Make yourself comfortable on a sofa or a chair and snuggle up by the wood burner - a real treat after long days in the great outdoors. After spending time in the enclosed garden where pups can chase their tails, enjoy a BBQ with delicious tit bits for those with four paws or head back inside and cook up a storm in the pretty kitchen. A trio of bedrooms await tired heads and have a simple yet welcoming style with splashes of colour. Rise and shine and freshen up in the shower before giving the dog a bone and heading out to explore. There is secure bike storage and off-road parking for three cars.

Leave the car behind and head out on walks from your door or venture slightly further afield and explore the area. Just 7 miles away, 400 acres of woodland awaits at the National Trust’s, Hardcastle Crags. Enjoy a stick chase before heading home via the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge (6 miles) where you can eat tasty treats by the river and wander the cobbled streets to browse the range of independent shops.

What an amazing cottage. The comfiest we've stayed in yet and certainly the best equipped kitchen we've come across. Everything was spotless, the hosts were so welcoming and nothing was any bother. The tap out front was great for washing muddy paws. Highly recommend

This a great little place with stunning views and a true sense of quiet in the evening. The owners were very welcoming and ready to help with tips for activities and even a cake tin when the family "decided" I had to bake a jam sponge (came really well, thanks for asking). We did a couple of awesome walks, one straight out of the door to the BridesRead moretones. The place is incredibly convenient for Hebden Bridge, Haworth/Bronte country, as well as Todmorden. Hide

We had a lovely stay, nothing was too much trouble for the delightful owners, including saying up until 1am when our arrival on our first day was delayed. Would definitely recommend

Very comfortable cottage, with amazing views. Hosts very amiable and left us a lovely welcome pack. Lots of good, and interesting, walks nearby. Good place to take a dog (just so long as it doesn't chase the poultry!)

A wonderful cottage On The Tops. Cozy on the rainy days but fantastic when the weather is kind. Nothing beats the views and the hospitality here. Some great local knowledge from Kate and Steve and all the little conveniences of home. There was so much to see and the local wildlife made the stay extra special.
