There are two cosy and tastefully decorated bedrooms to be found on the first floor – a charming twin room and a pretty double. The bathroom is also located on the first floor. Heading outside, the beautiful orchard gardens have large lawn areas where you can unwind, watch the dogs play and enjoy a meal alfresco. Ample off-road parking is available.
Close to the picturesque village of Satterthwaite (2.5 miles), the cottage is perfect for exploring the area between Coniston Water (9 miles) and Windermere (7 miles). You can visit pretty villages including Hawkshead (4.5 miles) and Near Sawrey (4 miles) where Beatrix Potter lived and worked. There are plenty of dog-friendly pubs and attractions throughout the area including Esthwaite Water (4.5 miles), the grounds at Wray Castle (7 miles) and the Lakeland Motor Museum (5.5 miles). Dogs can also accompany you on steam railway journeys and on ferries across Windermere. A little further on are the beautiful nature reserves of Whitbarrow (13 miles) and Roundsea Wood and Mosses (9 miles).
