Property code: LLANE

Set on a 200 acre working farm with its own fishing lake, this stylish and welcoming detached converted stable provides a relaxing base for guests exploring this most beautiful part of Somerset.

Experience life on a farm at this beautiful cottage in rural Somerset, within easy reach of the historic cities of Bath and Wells. Set on a 200-acre working farm, there is plenty of space for you and your canine to stretch your legs and meet the neighbouring cows and sheep. For dog-friendly eateries, the idyllic town of Wincanton is less than 1.5 miles away; that’s if you’re not glued to the comfy sofa and glow of the fire.

With underfloor heating and a charming wood burner, this delightful property will keep you and your pup snug and satisfied. Every room is a restful haven, from the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to the three inviting bedrooms, you’re all bound to feel right at home. On warmer days you can throw open the French doors to the patio and let fresh air fill the space, and your four-legged friend can roam freely (but don’t worry, the garden is enclosed so they can’t go too far). Cook up a storm in the kitchen, where little helpers can pull up a stool at the breakfast bar, and then make your choice of dining inside or out on the patio.

This property is a brilliant base for dog owners thanks to the many dog-friendly walks nearby. The world-famous landscape garden of Stourhead is only 6 miles away, where you can explore the ancient woodlands and sniff out one of the many delicious restaurants. For a varied walk and a bit of culture, venture to Lytes Cary Manor (16 miles), a National Trust property full of history and set in beautiful surroundings with plenty of off-lead areas.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cosy and comfortable cottage. Great to have the fire for autumn evenings and friendly, helpful hosts. Happily enjoyed by our family, including dog. (Note that the garden is not fully enclosed to let dogs off the lead and is on a working farm with livestock).

Lovely property in a beautiful location. Owners are very friendly. Called dog friendly but when you arrive at property there's a note telling you to keep your dog on a lead even in the garden, which isn't dog friendly as small dogs can get through the large gate. The property could do with some TLC, was clean but needs some refurbishing. No welcomeRead more pack either. Have been to better looked after properties which are cheaper. Hide

Wonderful setting. Very quiet. Did not meet expectations of photos on website. Needs a little TLC. Bayford is a gem. Lovely coffee shop and very good Co-op. Also please mention on your website that dogs need to be on a lead in the garden area as this was only made clear on arrival via a note in the utility area.

Love lane cottage is a beautifully built barn conversion. The land surrounding is safe and pleasant for children and nice to sit out in on a sunny day. During our stay we encountered some maintenance /equipment issues but left a note detailing these for the owners so hopefully not an issue for the next people.

Spacious accommodation with a large sunny garden and comfortable beds. Longleat, Stourhead and the East Somerset Railway all within half an hours drive.

We had a fantastic family break at Love Lane Cottage. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the owners were very welcoming and the children loved meeting the animals and collecting their own eggs from the farm. The cottage is lovely and quiet and ideally located for lots to see and do in the local area.
