A superb detached cottage with quirky décor and spectacular sea views, perfectly placed for exploring West Cornwall and its multitude of attractions and idyllic seaside towns

With its quirky decor and spectacular sea views, this pretty detached cottage in the traditional Cornish village of Pendeen welcomes up to two human guests along with two doggos. Perfect for a romantic getaway from it all—or some quality me-time for those who are travelling with just their four-legged friends—this beautiful stone cottage lies 2 miles from the gorgeous, dog-friendly Portheras Cove on the west Cornish coast.

Fresh decor welcomes you at this unique property that’s full of character. Enjoy home-cooked meals in the spacious kitchen/diner or snuggle up with your hound in front of the gorgeous open fire in the lounge. Upstairs you can gaze across fields from the bedroom or chill out in the snug, which boasts some wonderful views out to sea. Outside there’s a pretty garden for Spot to explore. In the evening, make your way to the local village pub, 0.5 miles. There’s a nice beer garden to enjoy a pint in and you’ll find that your pup is more than welcome.

Further afield, you and your furry best friend are welcome at the dog-friendly Gwenver Beach (7 miles) and Sennen Cove (10 miles). Or take your hound on a stroll to Land’s End (10.5 miles) – there is so much to explore at this 100-acre sight: it’s the perfect place to play fetch. Alternatively, if you’re a big fan of the Poldark series, take your pooch on a Poldark-themed walk at Botallack (2.5 miles), where you’ll find Wheal Owles, an iconic sight which represents Ross Poldark's mine on the show.

15 minute walk to the pub, shop and chippy. Cottage was nicely furnished, with some quirky pieces, local art work in keeping with location, loved the stained glass, and local pottery. Recommend a day trip to Tresco by helicopter

This location is ideally suited for walkers as there are plenty of short/long walks that can be done straight from the cottage. The view from the "snug" is nice, but it isn't as wide and open as we had thought when we booked as it mainly looks at the back gardens of the neighbours. Quite a high spec cottage though, central heating and log burner foRead morer the cosy nights in. Roads leading to and parking at the cottage are quite tight, so you need to consider that if you drive a big car. Hide

The cottage was comfortable and spacious for 2 people and a dog. It is a short walk to the town of Pendeen which has a shop, post office and 2 pubs. The coastal path is also a short walk away which is great if you dont want to drive.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Enjoyed exploring the old mines and abundance of walks, cycle rides and access to beaches. Cottage was immaculately clean and some nice touches with complimentary tea/biscuits and little added extras to make you feel at home.

Cottage very warm and cosy despite best efforts of Storm Ciara! Lovely welcome of tea & biscuits milk in fridge (no freezer but there is an ice compartment in fridge). Stunning views from bedrooms, garden ideal for dogs. Kitchen equipped with everything you could want & even soap, washing liquid provided! Definitely book again.

Fantastic cottage and a great base for exploring with the dogs and when they are back at the cottage they are safe in the enclosed garden. A lovely old miners cottage with super views and there are many fabulous places to visit within easy distance. Parking is quite tricky with a very tight turn in off a narrow lane. We came in our Tiguan which just made it! The pub and the shop are walkable, but not a very nice walk and not particularly close. Little Zandras is a little gem! Everything is perfect, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, cosy lounge, beautiful enclosed garden and the perfect localocation! Parking is a little tight but fits a large pick up truck. Great location for walks along the coast with a beautiful cove and disused tin mine nearby to view. Shops and pub within walking distance. Lovely and clean and great for the dogs.

Lovely cottage very well equipped which has been lovingly restored. Very warm and comfortable in a good position for plenty of local walks along the cliffs or inland.
