Sleeping two, it makes an idyllic romantic retreat, with ample space to bring Rover and Mutley along for a family break. The cottage has a homely feel with inviting decor and original features throughout. Relax in the cosy lounge/diner beneath the exposed beams with the open fire crackling beside you on colder evenings. Dine at the intimate table to the side of the room, with a delicious feast prepared in the compact but fully-equipped kitchen. When you’re ready for slumber, head up the cottage-style stairs to the spacious double bedroom, which boasts a contemporary en-suite bathroom.
When you aren’t exploring everything Seahouses has to offer, you’ll find plenty to see and do in the nearby villages. Follow the coastal path to Bamburgh beach (3.5 miles) and visit the castle to soak up some local history, where the dogs are sure sniff out some fun in the extensive grounds. Find long stretches of golden sands at Beadnell Bay (3 miles) and Embleton (7.5 miles). From the harbour, board a boat for a cruise around the Farne Islands and spot the resident puffins and seals.
