This small, white-washed traditional stone cottage is a welcoming seaside getaway for couples.

Located at the heart of the pretty fishing village of Seahouses on Northumberland’s picturesque coastline, this quaint and cosy cottage is perfectly placed for embarking on beachfront adventures. Sleeping two, it makes an idyllic romantic retreat, with ample space to bring Rover and Mutley along for a family break. From the doorstep, enjoy a short walk to the harbour and sandy beach, where you can easily while away an afternoon as the hounds frolic in the sea.

The cottage has a homely feel throughout, with inviting decor and original features throughout. Relax in the cosy lounge/diner beneath the exposed beams with the open fire crackling beside you on colder evenings. Sink into the plush sofas and armchairs and watch your favourite film or programme on the TV/DVD player. Dine at the intimate table to the side of the room, with a delicious feast prepared in the compact but fully-equipped kitchen. When you’re ready for slumber, head up the cottage-style stairs to the spacious double bedroom, which boasts a contemporary en-suite bathroom.

When you aren’t exploring everything Seahouses has to offer, you’ll find plenty to see and do in the nearby villages. Follow the coastal path to Bamburgh beach (3.5 miles) and visit the castle to soak up some local history, where the dogs are sure to go mutts in the extensive grounds. Find long stretches of golden sands at Beadnell Bay (3 miles) and Embleton (7.5 miles). From the harbour, board a boat for a cruise around the Farne Islands and spot the resident puffins and seals.

Lovely cosy cottage ideally situated in Seahouses the downside is parking there is nowhere to park outside the cottage only to unload. So have to park at main car park 100 yrds. Disappointed with the cleaners who need a better standard of cleanliness overall we had a lovely holiday.

Super ozy place for a couple but there is no garden area for the dogs. Just a tiny space by the back door. Lovely cottage, nicely decorated and liked the location near the shops and restaurants etc. Wood burner was very nice too as the evenings were cold on our spring visit. Lots of useful information in the property for visits too. Ample equipmentRead more but we had to Google how to use the hob as there didn't seem to be a manual.
