Come and stay at this charming detached stone property located in the heart of the Peak District National Park. With plenty of nooks and crannies to sniff out, this home away from home offers up to three visitors and two dogs the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Guests and waggy-tailed pups enter the cottage via the lovely lounge area, which feels cosy and countrified with its beautiful beamed ceiling. The kitchen is located just off the lounge and is fully equipped with all the essentials, allowing you to cook delicious meals for your group and whip up a yummy bowl of treats for your hound. There are two bedrooms upstairs, the main bedroom is a good size with a double bed and from the window, you’ll see mesmerising views of the hills in the distance. The second bedroom has a single bed with an additional pull out bed underneath. The bathroom is on this floor too. You’ll find a wonderful enclosed garden area outside that soaks up the sun during the warmer months and makes for a great place for your dog to stretch its paws if you’re having a relaxing day at the property.
Your four-legged friend can run wild on afternoon walks as you go mutts rambling across dales, along the River Wye and through Great Shacklow Wood. After exploring the great outdoors, head to the local pub for a well-earned refreshment and bowl of water for your dog, there’s a big beer garden and warming wood burner in the bar area, perfect for you and your pup. The nearest grocery shop is just 80 metres from the property and the market town of Bakewell is less than 2 miles away.
