When you choose this delightful rural hideaway on the outskirts of Bovey Tracey, Dartmoor National Park  with all the walking and cycling adventures you and your pack could ask for on your back door.

The three-storey property is a beautiful blend of old and new, with exposed beams and stonework countered by the conveniences and comforts of modern living. The spacious open-plan living area allows you to relax, dine and cook in company, with a wood burner to keep things cosy on cooler days. When the South Devon weather sparkles, you can move outdoors to enjoy al fresco dining, perhaps putting the outside pizza oven through its paces before winding down in the hot tub as evening gives way to night.

The property is located 2 miles from the centre of Bovey Tracey, also known as ‘The Gateway to the Moor’. In the town, you will find local shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways – not to mention a whisky distillery – while 5 miles west you’ll find Haytor and Saddle Tor, two of the area’s most recognisable and accessible tors. From here, almost 370 square miles of moorland is waiting to be explored on two legs or four, or by bike or horseback if you prefer. For a change of pace, the Devon Expressway lies just 1 mile across the Devon countryside, which will whisk you 15 miles northeast to the cathedral city of Exeter, or start you on your 15-mile journey southeast to Torbay and the towns and beaches of the English Riviera.

The cottage was absolutely perfect! We stayed for two nights on New Years Eve. Perfect for close action to Dartmour. Perfect for getting away from it all. Close access to Bovey Tracey. Nice place fairly well equipped, hot tub a bonus after a hard day's holiday making. The log burner was very efficient and only used it for the effect.

Cottage is nicely presented and a good size for 2 people, the downstairs would be a little compact for more people. The location was good for exploring south Devon however there is significant road noise from the Exeter dual carriageway with the windows open. Bovey Tracey has a fantastic park for running your dog opposite the Co-Op.

Lovely place to stay, nice and quiet but within easy reach of the coast and Dartmoor. Very dog friendly in front and rear gardens with treats and dog bowels for them plus a very nice welcome pack on arrival. Hot tub well used during our stay and being under cover made it even better.
