One of three cottages on this working farm in North Devon, surrounded by idyllic villages and situated just eight miles from the traditional village of Clovelly on the Atlantic coast.

Nothing depicts true happiness more than your dogs racing through rolling fields, ears flopping and tongues hanging out. With 10 acres of land to explore, all the family can revel in the unabated beauty of this rural idyll. Sleeping four humans and two pups, this North Devon sanctuary provides a breath of fresh air. Your dogs will thoroughly enjoy the symphony of smell, and there are some extra special treats for their two-legged companions too.

One of three private cottages, this wonderful bolthole provides the perfect set up for an unforgettable getaway. Upon arrival you will be treated to a mouth-watering cream tea. If you want to craft a homemade feast yourself (including fresh eggs from the farm), the kitchen has a light and airy vibe and offers all you need. For quality time with your loved ones, the open-plan lounge/diner is a great family space. Outside, kids will love the children’s play area and meeting the farm residents. There is also a private raised patio area to the front of the cottage.

Surrounded by natural beauty, there are plenty of sights and sites ready to capture the hearts and minds of everybody. The encompassing countryside is home to a number of walks, as is the fantastic coastline. Just 10 miles away, Westward Ho! Beach welcomes dogs from October to April, while north of Sandymere there are no restrictions at all. Let your dogs run free as they bound across the sand and play chase along the shore. To stock up on human goodies, Bideford is 6 miles away and the famous village of Clovelly is but 10 miles away.

We had an amazing week at Lime Tree Cottage, Sue and David had thought of everything, the kitchen was well equipped and we had every kitchen utensil you could think of, we were greeted with a picnic basket containing Devon rounds with jam and clotted cream , delicious after the 5 hour drive. The owners have lots of upgrading planned for the winter Read moreso the cottages will be even better next year. The roads around the area are one track roads so care is needed Thanks for a lovely week Hide

Really lovely cottage in a nice peaceful setting, very friendly owners, who were pleased to give recommendations of places to visit, nice cream tea on arrival, and very helpful and clear directions on how to find the cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lime Tree Cottage! It was very comfortable, the kids really appreciated the WiFi and the beds were comfortable. The cottage was equipped with everything that you would require separate freezer and fridge, washer drier, and any utensil youd need! The parking is easy and right outside the cottage. The owners, Sue and DavRead moreid, are so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. They also have big renovation plans for later this year. Thank you!!! Hide

If you enjoy being quite remote and don't mind small lanes. This dog friendly cottage is great for you. There are just sheep and chickens on the farm. I thought from what I read there would be more animals.

What a peaceful and tranquil setting, green fields, birds and animals. The cottage is cosy but a little bit dated. The owners are lovely, very friendly and approachable. Absolutely loved our stay at Lime Tree Cottage. Was a perfect holiday away from it all. Was great the children could go out and explore the fields, feed the chickens and collect the eggs. We loved the little touches such as flowers in the window and cream teas on arrival. Whilst we enjoyed the break the were a few issues. The sofas are long overdue replacement, all the cushioning has sunk, so you can feel the wood frame.Instructions for the rather old washer-dryer would have been helpful as we couldn't get the dryer to work properly. In general the cottage is in need of some decoration and TLC (paint peeling, damp maRead morerks on walls and black mould in the bin cupboard in the kitchen). We wouldnt book again as it is so very remote - far more than expected. Hide
