Set in its own secure garden, this fantastic coach house offers stylish accommodation not to be sniffed at. With two bedrooms, this rural retreat is perfect for friends or families, including four-legged members, to explore the 40 miles of footpaths and bridleways that lead across Goudhurst from your front door. Wander the woodlands at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest or explore the grounds of Sissinghurst Castle. Stroll to the village in the evening for a sociable drink or relaxed meal in one of the dog-friendly pubs.

With panoramic views across the garden and surrounding countryside, your open-plan living space is full of natural light. Conjure up a casual supper in the spacious kitchen/diner before putting your feet up in the comfortable lounge where your pup can bag themselves the best spot in front of the wood burner. Upstairs are the two en-suite bedrooms, both enjoying countryside views: one king-size zip-and-link (can be made as twin beds on request) with an en-suite shower room, and a double with an en-suite bathroom. Outside is a lovely space the whole family can enjoy. Light the BBQ on the decked area for an al fresco meal while your canine companion explores the pretty garden. You also have access on request to the owner’s heated outdoor swimming pool (June to September), if you wish to improve your doggy-paddle.

Situated within the Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the bustling village of Goudhurst, there are a myriad of countryside walks from the bottom of the garden. Visit the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells (10 miles), browse the specialist shops in The Pantiles before stretching your legs on the 200-acre Common. Stop for refreshments at one of the many traditional inns where your dog will get a warm welcome. Further afield, Hastings Beach and Camber Sands (both 20 miles) offer golden sands and surf to cool the paws.

All outdoor furniture in the Coach House grounds is available including the sun loungers by the pool - they must be wiped down after use. The dining table and chairs in the pool house are unavailable.

This is a fantastic cottage. A great location with plenty to do nearby (Bedgebury forest was an unexpected treat) and a good base for trips to Dover or Canterbury. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and more. The use of the swimming pool was great and a highlight for our daughter. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
