A delightful rural cottage located on a small working farm that sits in the village of Lessingham close to the Norfolk Broads and within 20 minutes walk to the beach.

Sleeping five guests across three bedrooms, this romantic farm cottage in Norfolk is just a mile from the dog-friendly strand by Eccles-on-Sea. It’s ideal for families and couples who love nature, wildlife, and coastal adventures. There’s a pub nearby (0.5 miles) and shops and eateries in nearby Stalham (3.5 miles) where your hound will want to board a river boat to explore the Norfolk Broads. The city of Norwich is in reach with its fabulous array of market stalls, theatre, cathedral, and wide range of shops (18 miles). On site, you’ll find off-road parking for two cars.

Step inside this holiday home with country-style interiors. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen where there’s a handy breakfast table. Gather at the dining table for meals, and unwind in squishy sofas where you can enjoy film nights on the Smart TV by a cosy wood burner. There’s a family bathroom, a WC, and a convenient utility room on the ground floor, while the sweetest of slumbers can be found in the spacious bedrooms. Relax and unwind in the lawned garden while listening to sounds of nature from the surrounding woodland - as you’re on a working farm, your pup pal will need a lead.

Cycle the country lanes and explore the woodland near your happy holiday home. Venture to Sea Palling beach (4.5 miles) which has dog-friendly zones, a dog-friendly cafe, pub and shop. Amble towards Happisburgh lighthouse (2.5 miles) where you’ll find a dog-friendly beach for canine scampers, while children can run wild in Bewilderwood (11 miles). Green-fingered guests will be inspired by the garden room themes at East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden (2.5 miles). And go east to spot seals at Horsey Gap and to visit Horsey Windpump - an 18th-century National Trust windmill standing over the Broads.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Lessingham Manor Cottage. We hadnt appreciated that rooms would be as large or that there would be a beautiful garden. We had a really lovely holiday at the cottage. The beds were the most comfortable we had ever slept in. The outside surroundings were lovely and my twin grandchildren loved the swing. Wildlife was abundant my grandson spotted a deer. All in all a great place to stay. Gill Dowell.
