Property code: 82923

This charming period stone-built cottage, perfect for a cosy romantic retreat, is just 1.5 miles from the Royal Borough of Biggar and nestled amid beautiful countryside with scenic valley views.

Make your romantic retreat to this delightful, single-storey holiday home near Biggar in South Lanarkshire and take one contented canine along with you for the break. Set in gorgeous, rolling green, Scottish countryside, approximately 1.5 miles from the historic town, it is a great place from which to head out on long walks to tire furry legs, as well as to enjoy quality time together in enchanting surroundings.

Call your four-legged friend into the entrance hall to this traditional cottage; leave his lead and any boots or jackets in here then wander through into the spacious, beamed, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Find a film on the Smart TV, enjoy your favourite tunes via the Bluetooth speaker or let Rover stretch out on the floor while you read a few pages of your book. Prepare meals for you and your happy hound in the kitchen; feed him in here and lay the table by the window for a candle-lit dinner. Take your pal out for a last stretch of his legs before bed then head off to the comfortable king size bedroom for the night and discover the bathroom close by. Enjoy breakfast out in the fresh air on warm mornings, while Rover wags his tail in anticipation of the day ahead and you soak up the scenery. Find safe cycle storage and plenty of parking at the property.

Hike out to Culter Fell, the highest point in South Lanarkshire, about 4.5 miles away. On a clear day, the views from here extend from the Lake District to the Scottish Highlands. Also, plan a trip to Tinto Hill, about 6.5 miles from the cottage. This striking, cone-shaped peak also offers spectacular vistas out towards the Lake District, as well as the mountains of Northern Ireland, Ailsa Craig and Arran, and even the faraway Cairngorms.

What a lovely peaceful and relaxing little cottage. Warm and cosy. A great base for walking and cycling. Loads of quiet country lanes. Great dog walks straight out of the front door including the thirty-odd minutes into Biggar town centre. Loads of takeaways and restaurants in Biggar. We would highly recommend the Taj Mahal. There are two beautifulRead more parkruns within a thirty minute drive of the cottage. Hide
