This open-plan room boasts a spacious dining table and a wood burner, creating a snuggly spot for cold winter evenings and a warming place for your canines to curl up. This house is filled to the brim with cosy areas to unwind, including the spacious double-aspect lounge on the first floor, where you'll find a TV, plenty of seating and a second wood burner. On sunnier evenings be sure to make use of the vast outdoor space, where an enclosed garden to the rear is the perfect spot for games of fetch and tug of war.

Leave no stick unfetched here in Argyll, where you'll find woodlands and walking routes right on your very doorstep. If man's best friend adores a trip to the beach, then they'll love the 1-mile walk down to Kilfinan Bay, a secluded sandy shore that welcomes four-legged friends. Sniff out some adventure in the Trossachs National Park (28 miles), where the Munro Beinn Ime (38 miles) is ready to be bagged.

Enjoying an idyllic location on the Cowal Peninsula – also known as Argyll's Secret Coast – this wonderful property is an ideal base for exploring the west coast of Scotland. With spectacular walks right from the doorstep, there are opportunities to explore the area's wealth of winding rivers, tranquil lochs, rugged hills and mysterious woodlands.

The popular Kilfinan Hotel is just opposite the property and offers a bar, lounge and restaurant, and is a popular venue for celebrations including weddings and Hogmanay. The beautiful sandy Kilfinan Bay is just a mile from the house and looks out onto the stunning Loch Fyne. Kilfinan is also home to a church dating back to the 13th century, and is an ideal spot for exploring the region's ancient history. The remains of Ascog Castle (8 miles) are nearby, or you could head to the picturesque coastal village of Portavadie (8.5 miles) which is home to a marina and Wilder Ways, which offers pony-trekking.

The pretty village of Tighnabruaich (8.5 miles) has a choice of shops and places to eat, and is known as a great base for rock fishing, cycling and yachting. The nearest main town is Dunoon (25 miles) which has a variety of great shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a cinema and leisure centre.
