This property is perfectly placed to explore the AONB and the many nature reserves nearby.
Dating back to Tudor times, this cottage’s history is reflected in its original features and traditional furniture, but contemporary touches bring it up to date and help create a comfortable home. The ground floor comprises of a cosy lounge, contemporary kitchen and dining area, a formal dining room and a convenient shower room. Upstairs, there are four light and airy bedrooms (two doubles and two singles) and a family bathroom. Up a steep staircase, on the third floor is a further lounge, called ‘the lookout’ which affords views across the salt marshes. Outside, there is a quiet courtyard garden with BBQ.
2 miles from Wells is Holkham with its unspoilt, white, sandy beach, which two-legged and four-legged guests will love. It is also home to a 25,000-acre estate and Holkham Hall with its red and fallow deer. With the Norfolk Coast Path connecting all of these towns/villages as it travels from Holme-Next-the-Sea (14.5 miles) in the west to Cromer (22 miles) in the east, there are plenty of opportunities to stretch those legs and enjoy the wonderful scenery.
