This tastefully decorated cottage offers an escape to the wonderful coast of Northumberland for up to six people, making it an ideal choice for families and groups of friends.

Situated in Belford, a quaint village with local shops and dog-friendly pubs, this property is in a great location for you and your furry companions to enjoy a relaxed time away. Being in the heart of the Northumberland countryside, gorgeous views can be enjoyed from this property. Sleeping up to six people, with two double beds and one twin bedroom, the cottage is perfect for a family holiday. The enclosed garden and swing set make this space ideal for children and dogs to play freely.

A few steps take you up to the entrance of this property and through to the lounge area. The room is spacious, with a cosy corner sofa facing towards the TV and electric fireplace. Spend your evenings relaxing here for a chilled family film night. The kitchen has a contemporary theme with an island worktop providing plenty of space to rustle up a home-cooked meal. With French doors leading out to the enclosed outdoor area, it is easy to dine alfresco if the weather suits. With an outdoor table and chairs to seat six, and more than enough space for the children to play, it is the perfect area to unwind with a drink in hand.

Belford is a quiet village which offers plenty of dog-walking routes. Alnwick Castle (15 miles), known for being the setting for both the Harry Potter and the Downton Abbey series, is a must-see. Whilst in the area, be sure to visit Alnwick Gardens (15.5 miles). With its water sculptures and treehouse restaurant with hanging bridges to climb, there is something for everyone to enjoy here. Closer to home, Bamburgh Castle and beach are just 5.5 miles away and offer scenic views out towards the Farne Islands, with plenty of open space for your pup to roam.

What a lovely cottage for a family break. Very spacious and well equipped, safe back garden for kids and dogs. Close to Co-Op. Local Pub and excellent chippy. Ideal base to explore Northumberland. The house was extremely well equipped and comfortable. The owners had left us wine, bread, milk and home baking which were greatly appreciated. We had a lovely week and the location of the house allows access to the beaches.

Lovely clean cottage with a nice welcome pack of wine and cake, dog friendly too. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone thinking about visiting the Holy Island and Bamburgh area as it is very near to both.

We had a lovely week at Jocks Haven. The house is easy to find and was really clean, comfortable and welcoming. The cake, milk, bread and wine were much appreciated! We had a lovely stay at Jocks Haven in Belford, nice fish and chips just a 2 minute walk, fab farm shop again walking distance. The house was clean and comfortable, would definitely book again.

Jocks Haven is a very comfortable cottage in an excellent location for exploring the coast and National park. The cottage had everything we needed, and the garden was very dog friendly. Bamburgh and Cheswick beaches are a short drive away, a bit further afield is the Northumberland National Park (Wooler Common). The cottage was very clean, and suited our needs as a base for exploring nearby attractions, such as Bamburgh, Holy Island, St Cuthbert's Cave, Seahouses (Boat trips) and Alnwick. On arrival the owners had left us a welcome pack, of bread, tea, coffee, milk, wine and had baked a cake which was much appreciated by the family. Would highly recommend.

This wonderful cottage has been equipped with all the essentials. The quiet village is located between Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed. A short car journey to the local beaches of Bamburgh and Seahouses. Plenty of local walks to be found. Village supermarket and local amenities are a short walk from the cottage.
