Enjoy a peaceful getaway for two plus your favourite furry friend in this gorgeous cottage. The property is located within the grounds of the owner’s historic farmhouse and you and the woofer will have access to 3 acres of shared open parkland to explore. The property is just 7 miles from the rugged landscape of the Northumberland National Park, where you’ll find a huge variety of walking trails guaranteed to get ears flapping with delight. The market town of Hexham is just 2 miles away and has a great selection of woof-friendly eateries.
The single-storey stone cottage is full of character and charm, with exposed beams and pretty window frames looking out over the surrounding countryside. Enjoy a romantic dinner for two at the dining table, before retreating to the comfy sofa to snuggle up and watch the Smart TV whilst Rover dozes on the rug. At the end of the day, retreat to the stylish bedroom, which is decorated in muted tones to create a calm and relaxed ambience. Outside, enjoy morning coffee on the bistro set, admiring the peaceful setting, before taking a gentle stroll with the pup around the shared grounds.
The historic town of Hexham is well worth a visit. Wander around the grounds of the abbey and the fabulous Sele Park, where you’ll find stunning formal gardens and woodland walks, before dining in one of the many paw-friendly eateries. You can’t stay in this part of the country without visiting Hadrian’s Wall. The best place to see it, locally, is at Walltown Crags. Here, the magnificent wall snakes and dives along the crags, winding along the wild and mysterious landscape. Follow the wall for an intriguing walk, where there’s guaranteed to be plenty of new sniffs for your hairy pal to investigate!
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
