This fantastic property, situated high on a hill overlooking Lochinver Harbour, is perfect for you and your guests – including the waggy-tailed ones! Sleeping 10 across five cosy bedrooms with space for up to two dogs, it won’t be long before you’re all up and about getting ready to explore the stunning Scottish Highlands. Go Geocaching or simply discover the fantastic history and rock formations at Inchnadamph Caves (13 miles), or head to dog-friendly Scourie Beach (28 miles) where golden sands and clear waters make for a brilliant day out.
The property, which boasts mountain views of Canisp and Suliven, is spacious and welcoming with a quirky sporting lodge-style. The huge kitchen is bright and airy with fantastic views of the mountains, making it the perfect place for breakfast to set you up for the day. With calming, neutral decor paired with warm brown tones in the lounge, this spot is ideal to relax in after a long day of walking; the pups will love curling up in front of the open fire while you watch TV or read a book. And when it’s time to wind down, go for a hot soak in one of the huge bathrooms before snuggling into bed among peaceful colours, waking up to superb views.
Take the 1 mile walk into the centre of Lochinver where you’ll find a cafe and pub which welcome your furry friends along with a restaurant you can visit if you can leave the hounds at home for a couple of hours. Spend the day climbing Stac Pollaidh (15 miles) which is ideal if you’re a beginner or have the dogs with you; if you’re looking for something a bit easier try the footpath in Little Assynt (5 miles) which is suitable for all abilities.
