This traditional lodge is tucked away in the heart of the rugged Highland landscape near River Bruachaig with a dramatic backdrop of the Slioch Mountain and Beinn Eighe. Here you will feel truly embraced by the Scottish wilderness and all its elegance.

For a true Highland experience, this cosy four-bedroom lodge is perfect for families and friends, including four-legged ones, seeking to explore the rugged mountains and peaceful lochs of the Western Highlands. Sniff out the trail up the mountainside of Beinn Eighe (2 miles) to bag one of the Munros within this imposing ridgeline. Enjoy shoreline strolls along the banks of picturesque Loch Maree (0.5 miles), which can be seen from your Highland hideaway.

Tails will wag as you approach your secluded whitewashed holiday lodge and catch sight of the tall trees surrounding the property and the glimmer of the blue waters of the loch beyond. Your hound will enjoy stretching out in front of the eating kitchen wood burner as you linger over your evening meals. Sink into one of the comfy sofas in the lounge and watch a movie on the internet TV. At the end of the day, climb the stairs where you will find three cosy twin bedrooms and a fourth bedroom with a small double bed. Outside, sit in the garden with a wee dram and take in the views across the Slioch mountain as your hound stretches their legs in the large garden. The lodge can also be let with the adjacent Keeper's House for larger groups or those special family occasions.

You’ll go barking mad for the walking opportunities straight from the front door through the breathtaking landscape. Take the lead through the stunning Caledonian pinewood of Coille na Glas Letire (3 miles), Britain’s first National Nature Reserve. Wander through the 50-acres of colourful flowers and shrubs at Inverewe Gardens (26 miles) where the Pinewood trail is particularly popular with dogs.

Very big house, very clean. The location of the house is very good. Everything is very beautiful. What I didn't like is that there is no cot. It's already difficult with small babies, because you have to carry the bed yourself.

Incheril lodge has the charm of traditional Scottish hospitality. The living room is cozy and the dining room offers plenty of space. The kitchen is very well equipped and is very spacious. Incheril, beautifully situated, is an ideal starting point for walks and tours around Torridon, Loch Maree and Gairloch.

Great cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Perfect base for a walking holiday (a group of 5 adults in our case), just a short drive away from Beinn Eighe and other great locations. Kinlochewe - 10 minute walk away - has a nice hotel with a great restaurant + a handy shop.

The new kitchen is an improvement, although with the removal of the old cupboard it has lost its charm. One of the reasons we have stayed so many times was the cosy coal fire in the sitting room. It was lovely to come back after a walk but is now soulless with the electric stove. Although there is a stove in the kitchen there are no comfy seats. ThRead moree new chairs in the window are hard and uncomfortable, unlike the previous furniture. We loved the house and the area, but probably won't go back. Hide

Incheril lodge is to be highly recommended. It is a very spacious house in a great location. We used it as a base for some mountain walking with a group of friends, but would suit families too. There is top-class walking from the door, always nice. We found the house to have all we needed, lovely and warm (in a rather cold early May), and especiallRead morey appreciated was the obvious great care taken in preparing it for our arrival - it was really clean. I am not getting a commission for this ! Hide
