This characterful cottage, in the Cornish village of Cubert, is ideal for large families. Sleeping four across three stylish bedrooms, this property offers space for two dogs so your furry companions needn’t miss a minute of the fun. As well as dramatic cliff-top walks and stunning countryside views, Cubert sits just 1.5 miles from the dog-friendly beach of Holywell Bay. So grab your Frisbee and enjoy an authentic Cornish seaside escape.

Inside, classic touches give this cottage a wonderful homely feel. Gather the troops, including the four-legged members, in the living room and sink into two comfy sofas. Get cosy in front of the TV while your furry friends curl up beside the traditional wood burner; it’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day of country walks. Then take your pick of three spacious bedrooms. Choose from two lovely single rooms - one on the ground floor  or why not wake up with Fido at your feet in the glorious en-suite double? In the kitchen, there’s plenty of space to fuel up before another adventure, while outside, a lovely enclosed rear garden is ideal for some canine callisthenics. It’s a great spot to enjoy a lazy afternoon or fire up the BBQ for a full-on family feast.

With sprawling sands and picturesque sea views, Holywell Bay makes a great day out for the whole family. Easily reached by car (1.5 miles) and on foot, it boasts some of the best surf schools in the county so it’s ideal for doggy paddlers of all varieties. Further afield, the trendy town of Newquay is only 4.5 miles away while the heather and gorse of the National Trust’s St Agnes Head is a mere 9 miles away.

Cubert is a pleasant little village with good access to beaches and beautiful walks. The cottage is old with very small windows, so it is dark and there are no views. We had very good weather so were able to be out much of the time, but we would have enjoyed it much less if the weather had been poor.

This is a lovely, traditional cottage full of character which has been sympathetically modernised. The facilities are good, and the location is lovely. This is the perfect base to explore Cornwall or to stay close by and find the many walks and beaches.
