Locals and guests love to try their hand at crabbing on the unspoilt sandy beach at St Mary’s Bay just 1.5 miles away but watch those fingers as those critters can pinch! The property has space for up to four guests as well as one friendly dog who will love all of the fabulous dog-friendly attractions in the area.
The property is approached via three shallow steps from street level, entering into the roomy ground-floor level lounge. This is a perfect space for relaxing, watching TV or a movie while snuggling up with the family, both human and furry. A wood burner adds to the cosy effect. The galley-style kitchen is decorated in neutral tones with an easy to maintain floor for spills and muddy paws. Upstairs are two tasteful bedrooms, one double, one double (twin on request).
While people watching and ambling around Brixham is nice, you can always travel further afield by taking the foot ferry to Torquay or Paignton. The latter is a great place for kids, thanks to its world-renowned zoo just 5 miles away from your holiday cottage. Sandy beaches are ideal for the doggies, but for a change of scenery and speed the whole family will appreciate the Steam Railway at Kingswear (5 miles). From here you can take the ferry over to Dartmouth, the only settlement from the area named in the Domesday Book. Medieval properties from the 1600s line the Dartmouth streets and boat cruises operate daily.
