This charming Scandinavian pine lodge is one of two located on quiet farmland in the heart of North Cornwall. Accommodating up to four people and two hounds, this is the ideal choice for a family holiday everyone can enjoy. Stick chasers will be in their element with an abundance of country walks on the doorstep, as well as some fantastic beaches a short drive away, while younger guests will love the on-site children’s play area.
Accessed via a farm track, this delightful lodge offers a peaceful and relaxing base for your break. The open-plan living area is both cosy and homely, with comfortable sofas for you to sink down into as you take in the stunning countryside views. While the weary-pawed dream of bones and sticks in front of the flame effect electric fire, humans can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen/diner. You’ll find everything you need here for whipping up hearty breakfasts or family meals, which can be enjoyed together around the dining table. The bathroom is also to be found on this level, while upstairs you’ll discover two restful bedrooms with sloping ceilings, where you’ll be drifting off into a peaceful sleep in no time. Stepping outside, enjoy some al fresco dining on the wooden veranda, while the dogs explore and the children let off some steam in the playground, which is shared with the other lodge.
Grab a bite to eat in the local pub (2 miles) before picking up supplies at the nearest shop (7 miles). Explore the medieval coastal village of Tintagel (13.5 miles) and follow the coast path which takes you to Trebarwith Strand, a beauty of a beach which welcomes four-legged pals throughout the year. Take a wander around popular Boscastle (12.5 miles), where you’ll find some great walks and dog-friendly pubs.
