This delightful semi-detached holiday home nestles next to the owners’ home on their idyllic family farm, boasts lovely countryside views and is perfectly placed just 3 miles from the coast.
Escape to the countryside for a romantic retreat for two in this charming cottage, which also welcomes your favourite four-legged pal. Tucked away on the owner’s farm, the property benefits from a peaceful setting and yet is within easy reach of some fabulous paw-friendly attractions. Immerse yourself in history at the dramatic ruins of Tintagel Castle (5 miles) perched high on Cornwall’s rugged coast or let the hound run free on the golden sands of Trebarwith Strand (4 miles).
The property, which is all on one level, has a real home-away-from-home vibe, with pretty fabrics and plenty of creature comforts to make your stay as relaxed as possible. As you enter the cottage, you’ll find a handy boot/dog room, where you can store all your walking gear. The spacious lounge/diner is bright and airy, with ample room for the pup to set up camp. Patio doors lead from here to the outdoor area, so Rover can happily potter in and out on a warm day. Outside, there’s an enclosed garden with lovely countryside views and a lawn where the hound can play.
Spend the day at the beach at Trebarwith Strand, a popular spot with surfers and dog walkers. The beach is woof friendly all year and, at low tide, the golden sand extends for almost 1 mile, leaving ample room for a good game of fetch. Just be careful and check the tide times to ensure you don’t get stranded! It’s easy to join the South West Coast Path, which winds its way around the coast for 630 miles. Pick it up at Boscastle (3 miles), where you and your furry friend can explore the Tudor harbour before climbing high onto the cliffs towards the spectacular Pentargon Waterfall.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
