Overflowing with charm and character, this wonderfully cosy barn conversion is the perfect getaway for you and your four-legged friends. Get the wood burner roaring to keep toes and tails toasty after roaming the surrounding 12 acres of private woodland, where sticks await discovery and leads can be left behind. Sitting 1.5 miles from Shebbear, enjoy your peaceful surroundings whilst knowing that local amenities are just a short journey from home.
Semi-detached and one of three holiday properties on the owner’s farm, the cottage has two bedrooms on the first floor which are each treated to TV/DVD and feature exposed beams. The upstairs rooms have limited head room which is not a problem for shorter, furrier guests but is something to take note of for others. Wash muddy paws and soak aching muscles in the bathroom where you’ll find both a bath and shower, then head into the cosy lounge to dry off. Freshen up the pup's towels in the shared laundry facilities on-site. A soft rug is a perfect spot for smaller family members to flop down and relax whilst you curl up with a book on comfortable sofas and chairs. When the woodland seems too much of an adventure, the patio area is great for a late-night scamper and sniff of fresh air.
For a tasty lunch and a round of dog treats, the local pub at Shebbear is a great hit and you can be sure that everyone will be welcomed. With full tummies and wagging tails, walk off your food at glorious Hartland, 19 miles away, where waterfalls, breathtaking ocean views and rippling rivers can be found with each twist and turn of the South West Coast Path. If you fancy a trip which includes ice cream, canals and rockpools, cross the Cornish border and drive 20 miles to the holiday haven of Bude.
